The Dog League: Week 9 Preview(2019 Season)

Leaping Girl gets her best shot to play catch up this week, as she prepares to face the juggernaut known as Rare Woofs. (Reminder: the Dog League is a custom fantasy football league run on NFL.com) Tug of War Current Record: (2-6, 6th place) A tough season doesn't get any easier this week for Tug of War, as top receivers Michael Thomas and Cooper Kupp are on bye. They at least get Dak Prescott back, and return Derrick Henry to the starting lineup in the flex spot. Their 2nd starting receiver behind Chris Godwin will be Allen Robinson, who has been solid despite the struggles of Mitchell Trubisky and faces a beatable Eagles secondary. They drop last week's stream, Jared Goff, to pick up a new backup tight end in Jimmy Graham, and bring in Jason Myers for Matt Prater, as he starts in place of Greg Zuerlein and gets set to face the Buccaneers. Week 9 Starting Lineup(vs Ridiculous Rascals) QB Dak Prescott RB Saquon Barkley RB Leonard Fournette WR Chris Godwin WR

The Dog League: Week 8 Review(2019 Season)

Rare Woofs continue to flex their might in Week 8 of the Dog League. (Reminder: the Dog League is a custom fantasy football league run on NFL.com) Game 1: Tug of War(163.38) vs Rare Woofs(195.36) ANALYSIS The rich get richer, as Rare Woofs added JuJu Smith-Schuster(21.3 points) for a spot start and Tevin Coleman(37.8 points) to their bench as the league leaders get even stronger. They got great performances from their stars, Dalvin Cook(28.1 points) and Christian McCaffrey(27.5 points) and receivers Julian Edelman(27.5 points) and Kenny Golladay(28.3 points) stepped up in the absence of Davante Adams and Amari Cooper. Add in a feast from the 49ers defense(22 points) and this team looks totally unstoppable right now. For Tug of War, this was another tough loss, as they scored extremely well in defeat, with Saquon Barkley(28.3 points), Michael Thomas(27.3 points) and Cooper Kupp(35 points) leading the way. A really quiet game from Zach Ertz(4 points), and a lesser performance

Henry's Universe Mode(Season 5): Halloween Havoc 2019

Tonight, Sami Zayn may very well face his ending. The WWE Champion must go one on one with "The Phenom", the man who incites fear with a single step, The Undertaker. Zayn has fought through every obstacle, and love him or hate him, has proved to a true champion, but even this valiant champion may be no match for the challenge that lies ahead. Plus, Finn Balor challenges for the Intercontinental Championship, Bayley tangles with Nikki Cross, John Cena and Seth Rollins square off and to open the show, the Money in the Bank briefcase is on the line! Henry's Universe Mode(Season 5): Halloween Havoc 2019 Preview

SmackDown's latest pay-per-view covers the fallout of Summerslam and the beginning of the build to Survivor Series, as the blue brand hosts the spooky spectacular known as Halloween Havoc. Halloween Havoc 2019 Card Bobby Roode vs Samoa Joe- Money in the Bank Ladder Match After Roode successfully defended his briefcase at The Bash, winning by count-out, Edge was quick to set up a rematch between the two men, although the briefcase was not at stake this time. The match took place two nights after Summerslam, and saw Joe pick up a decisive victory after quickly locking in the Coquina Clutch and putting the "Glorious One" to sleep. Edge decided that this win earned Joe another chance at claiming the briefcase, this time in a ladder match. Joe has made his intentions be known, declaring that when finishes off Bobby Roode and becomes Mr. Money in the Bank, he will be cashing in at the quickest possible opportunity, perhaps as soon as he gets down off the ladder. The Dog League: Week 8 Preview(2019 Season)

We have another trade to begin this week, and it's a very interesting one. Bark Force trades wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster to Rare Woofs for tight end Hunter Henry. I'll explain the reasoning behind this move as we get into the preview for Week 8. (Reminder: the Dog League is a custom fantasy football league run on NFL.com) Bark Force Current Record: (2-5, 6th place) With Greg Olsen proving to be mostly unreliable, Bark Force picks up Hunter Henry, who has returned from injury to become one of the top tight ends in fantasy. They do have to give up Smith-Schuster, but can cover his loss thanks to the likes of Stefon Diggs, Brandin Cooks and Terry McLaurin. Speaking of Diggs, he gets the start this week in the flex, while Nick Chubb returns to start over Todd Gurley. This is a big decision by Bark Force, as Chubb has a much worse matchup, traveling to New England while Gurley is at home against the Bengals, one of the worst run defenses in the NFL. But Chubb's

The Dog League: Week 7 Review(2019 Season)

Injuries and bye weeks wreak havoc on the league in Week 7. (Reminder: the Dog League is a custom fantasy football league run on NFL.com) Game 1: Tug of War(130.76) vs Leaping Girl(99.74) ANALYSIS Tug of War gets their second win of the season, led by their most reliable performers, Dak Prescott(20.56 points) and Michael Thomas(22.1 points). They actually ended up leaving their top scorer, Allen Robinson(24.7 points) on the bench, but it made no difference as they faced a Leaping Girl team that was a complete mess. At least she got another outstanding performance from the Patriots defense(30 points), but that was a lone positive in a dismal game that saw only a few players reach double digits. Among the biggest disappointments were Phillip Lindsay(4.2 points), George Kittle(6.8 points) and Michael Gallup(6.4 points), but her issues were compounded by leaving Lamar Jackson(23.32 points) and Austin Ekeler(25.5 points) on the bench. This was a big missed opportunity by Leapin

The Dog League: Week 7 Preview(2019 Season)

Bark Force looks to turn around their horrible luck against Rare Woofs, who themselves attempt to recover from their first loss of the season last week. (Reminder: the Dog League is a custom fantasy football league run on NFL.com) Tug of War Current Record: (1-5, 6th place) With one of their most consistent players of the last two weeks, Chris Godwin, on bye, now is a good time for Tug of War to welcome back Saquon Barkley, who returns after a month long absence. He's joined by Chicago's defense, who replace the Chargers unit in the starting lineup, and Tug of War also brings in some new backups. Will Dissly, likely out for the rest of the year, was dropped for Darren Fells, while Emmanuel Sanders was dropped for Calvin Ridley. And the league's worst team saved the biggest move for last, as they dropped Jameis Winston to add Drew Brees, who may be coming back very soon. Week 7 Starting Lineup(vs Leaping Girl) QB Dak Prescott RB Leonard Fournette RB Saquon B

The Dog League: Week 6 Review(2019 Season)

Rascal gets his shot at revenge and Leaping Girl keeps on rolling in Week 6 of the Dog League. (Reminder: the Dog League is a custom fantasy football league run on NFL.com) Game 1: Tug of War(104.38) vs Tailwaggerz(156.1) ANALYSIS Following an impressive win, and their first of the season, over Bark Force, Tug of War were unable to get any momentum going, falling easily to Tailwaggerz and scoring the least points in the league. Derrick Henry(4.3 points), Cooper Kupp(5.7 points) and Greg Zuerlein(1 point) were all stuck on real life teams that struggled to get any offense going, limiting their scoring chances. On the positive end, Chris Godwin(25.1 points) remained excellent, and the team should be getting top pick Saquon Barkley back very soon. The running backs led the way for Tailwaggerz this week, with Chris Carson(25.9 points) and David Johnson(28.2 points) both helping led their teams to close victories. With Tyreek Hill(25 points) returning from injury to reassert him

The Dog League: Week 6 Preview(2019 Season)

Leaping Girl aims for the top as she faces Bark Force while Rare Woofs faces the underachieving Ridiculous Rascals, looking for a sixth straight win. (Reminder: the Dog League is a custom fantasy football league run on NFL.com) Tug of War Current Record: (1-4, 6th place) Now with one win to their name, Tug of War was very quiet this week, making one change on the bench after dropping Wayne Gallman to bring back Joe Mixon. However, they will leave Mixon and Melvin Gordon on the bench, sticking with the solid duo of Derrick Henry and Leonard Fournette at running back. They were forced into making a change at defense, as Chicago is on bye, so the Chargers defense will start instead, as they face a Steelers team that could be without starting quarterback Mason Rudolph following his scary concussion on Sunday. Week 6 Starting Lineup(vs Tailwaggerz) QB Dak Prescott RB Derrick Henry RB Leonard Fournette WR Michael Thomas WR Cooper Kupp TE Zach Ertz WR Chris Godwin K Greg

The Dog League: Week 5 Review(2019 Season)

In which THE STREAK IS OVER! (Reminder: the Dog League is a custom fantasy football league run on NFL.com) Game 1: Tug of War(190.82) vs Bark Force(181.44) ANALYSIS After a month filled with injuries, trades and the worst luck imaginable, Tug of War has finally won a game, and it took a ridiculous effort to get it. The wide receivers led the way, as Michael Thomas(41.2 points), Cooper Kupp(26.7 points) and Chris Godwin(31.5 points) helped make up for a poor showing by the Bears defense(4 points). Bark Force, scoring the most points in a loss in league history, really had only two good scorers, but season-high performances from Aaron Jones(49.2 points) and the Eagles defense(40 points) still gave them a chance. In the end, it was a truly repugnant performance from Greg Olsen(0 points) that cost Bark Force, as Nick Chubb(10.9 points) couldn't make the comeback on Monday night. Game 2: Tailwaggerz(136.96) vs Rare Woofs(215.22) ANALYSIS The loss of Davante Adams di

The Dog League: Week 5 Preview(2019 Season)

We start out this week with a blockbuster trade. Leaping Girl gives up Melvin Gordon, Chris Godwin and the Chicago Bears defense, and sends them to Tug of War in exchange for Keenan Allen, D.J. Chark and the Vikings defense. More on why this trade was made below. (Reminder: the Dog League is a custom fantasy football league run on NFL.com) Tug of War Current Record: (0-4, 6th place) Still winless and slowly losing hope of making this year anything special, Tug of War makes another trade, giving up their best player in Keenan Allen along with some backups. Michael Thomas will now be their top receiver, and they get back Gordon, who provides them with much needed help at the running back position and the possibility of forming a fantastic duo with Saquon Barkley in the future. Plus, they pick up Godwin and the Bears defense, two quality starters at their respective positions, so this was a pretty good trade for the team. All three new acquisitions will start this week, but T

The Dog League: Week 4 Review(2019 Season)

A blown lead costs one team dearly and a couple winning streaks continue in Week 4 of the Dog League. (Reminder: the Dog League is a custom fantasy football league run on NFL.com) Game 1: Tug of War(126.42) vs Ridiculous Rascals(141.38) ANALYSIS Heading into Sunday night, Tug of War was well within reach of their first win of the year, holding a 20 point lead largely thanks to Cooper Kupp(26.9 points). But Dak Prescott(7.62 points) botched his attempt to close off the game, and James Conner(26.5 points) and the Steelers defense(24 points) closed it out on Monday night for Rascal, who moves to 2-2. With their team in a state of chaos now winless through the first 4 games, the situation has already gotten dire for Tug of War, as this year already looks like it could be a lost season unless they make something happen soon. Game 2: Bark Force(117.5) vs Tailwaggerz(80.9) ANALYSIS After being one of the most consistent teams last year, all the way through their champions
