The Dog League: Week 5 Preview(2019 Season)

We start out this week with a blockbuster trade. Leaping Girl gives up Melvin Gordon, Chris Godwin and the Chicago Bears defense, and sends them to Tug of War in exchange for Keenan Allen, D.J. Chark and the Vikings defense. More on why this trade was made below. (Reminder: the Dog League is a custom fantasy football league run on NFL.com)

Tug of War

Current Record: (0-4, 6th place)

Still winless and slowly losing hope of making this year anything special, Tug of War makes another trade, giving up their best player in Keenan Allen along with some backups. Michael Thomas will now be their top receiver, and they get back Gordon, who provides them with much needed help at the running back position and the possibility of forming a fantastic duo with Saquon Barkley in the future. Plus, they pick up Godwin and the Bears defense, two quality starters at their respective positions, so this was a pretty good trade for the team.

All three new acquisitions will start this week, but Tug of War isn't finished yet. They dropped Joe Mixon to add Leonard Fournette, who starts over Derrick Henry, and also picked up Jameis Winston for Jared Goff. For right now though, Winston will not start over Dak Prescott, though that could still change before Sunday.

UPDATE: With Melvin Gordon getting a "restricted workload" this week, Tug of War will start Derrick Henry instead.

Week 5 Starting Lineup(vs Bark Force)

QB Dak Prescott
RB Derrick Henry
RB Leonard Fournette
WR Michael Thomas
WR Cooper Kupp
TE Zach Ertz
WR Chris Godwin
K Greg Zuerlein
DEF Chicago Bears

Tailwaggerz

Current Record: (2-2, 5th place)

After an embarrassing loss last week, Tailwaggerz looks to get back on track, and starts things out by bringing back Tyreek Hill, dropping Mecole Hardman. They're keeping an eye on the health of both Hill and T.Y. Hilton, so should either look ready to return for Sunday night, they will replace Tyler Boyd in the starting lineup. Chris Carson gets another start this week, replacing Josh Jacobs who has a tough matchup against the Bears, and then Tailwaggerz makes a bunch of changes to the bench. They drop Sony Michel for Jordan Howard, Jordan Akins for Jimmy Graham and the Packers defense for Eddy Pineiro, though none will start this week.

UPDATE: Tailwaggerz chooses to gamble on T.Y. Hilton this week, as the questionable receiver will start in place of Tyler Boyd, with Jarvis Landry available on the waiver wire as insurance.

Week 5 Starting Lineup(vs Rare Woofs)

QB Deshaun Watson
RB David Johnson
RB Alvin Kamara
WR Odell Beckham
WR T.Y. Hilton
TE Evan Engram
RB Chris Carson
K Harrison Butker
DEF Baltimore Ravens

Ridiculous Rascals

Current Record: (2-2, 4th place)

Just some small changes for Rascal this week, as he drops James White for Jaylen Samuels, who is insurance in case James Conner can't play against the Ravens. He also drops Brett Maher to add Robbie Gould, who is his new starting kicker, and also brings Adam Thielen back into the starting lineup in place of Sterling Shepard. Finally, Rascal will start his Titans defense this week, as they have a great matchup against the Bills without Josh Allen.

UPDATE: With Sammy Watkins questionable for Sunday night, Rascal will go with Marquise Brown instead.

Week 5 Starting Lineup(vs Leaping Girl)

QB Aaron Rodgers
RB Ezekiel Elliott
RB James Conner
WR Julio Jones
WR Adam Thielen
TE Darren Waller
WR Marquise Brown
K Robbie Gould
DEF Tennessee Titans

Leaping Girl

Current Record: (2-2, 3rd place)

She gave up a lot to get him, but Emma is very happy to bring in Keenan Allen, who now forms an incredible looking duo with Mike Evans, finally helping her cope with the loss of Antonio Brown. She gets back Le'Veon Bell and George Kittle, who send Phillip Lindsay and Austin Hooper to the bench, and she makes a big call, starting Lamar Jackson over Russell Wilson, as he faces the lowly Steelers. She also adds an interesting piece to her bench, dropping D.J. Moore to pick up Robert Woods.

UPDATE: With Stephen Gostkowski out for the year, Leaping Girl has brought in veteran Adam Vinatieri.

Week 5 Starting Lineup(vs Ridiculous Rascals)

QB Lamar Jackson
RB Mark Ingram
RB Le'Veon Bell
WR Keenan Allen
WR Mike Evans
TE George Kittle
RB Austin Ekeler
K Adam Vinatieri
DEF New England Patriots

Bark Force

Current Record: (2-2, 2nd place)

Bark Force makes a big call to start off the week, as they send JuJu Smith-Schuster to the bench, starting Aaron Jones in his place. The move is a gamble, as Jones has a tough matchup against the Cowboys, but should get plenty of rushing volume to try and make up for it. They bring back Stefon Diggs, dropping Miles Sanders, and will stream in the Eagles defense this week as they face the Jets.

Week 5 Starting Lineup(vs Tug of War)

QB Patrick Mahomes
RB Todd Gurley
RB Nick Chubb
WR DeAndre Hopkins
WR Tyler Lockett
TE Greg Olsen
RB Aaron Jones
K Justin Tucker
DEF Philadelphia Eagles

Rare Woofs

Current Record: (4-0, 1st place)

Rare Woofs have been the cream of the crop so far this year, now with a two game lead over and looking to defeat Tailwaggerz to pick up a win against all five Dog League teams. They likely will be without Davante Adams, so they start Julian Edelman and drop John Ross to add Alshon Jeffery, who takes the flex spot. Should Adams' status improve as the week continues, however, they will consider starting him. Rare Woofs also will start Tom Brady over Philip Rivers, and drops the Jaguars defense to re-acquire the 49ers defense.

Week 5 Starting Lineup(vs Tailwaggerz)

QB Tom Brady
RB Dalvin Cook
RB Christian McCaffrey
WR Julian Edelman
WR Amari Cooper
TE Travis Kelce
WR Alshon Jeffrey
K Wil Lutz
DEF San Francisco 49ers

South Park "Not Funny" Review

Good night, amateur trolls that trolled a troll and trolled themselves into a troll, brothers. With one episode to go in the season, South Park has remained consistently funny and on-point with their humor, though I worry about how their going to wrap all of this up. There are a good six to seven ongoing storylines right now, and only one episode to finish off a few of them. There was no clear focus this week, but I'll start where the episode ended, with Gerald's troll-based storyline. It's pretty satisfying to see the Troll Hunter's massive revelation; that he is, in fact, just another troll, bent on world destruction. Even Gerald couldn't find the humor in his master plan, as the Troll Hunter is truly in a league of his own. With the world on the brink of war, the trolling has truly begun, as the Troll Hunter went to work on his own employees and the other trolls, though why they had to be naked for that is beyond me. Kyle is always a sucker for saving the ...
