Summary:
Week 4 of NXT, with four titles on the line, opened with the Light Heavyweight Title on the line. Breeze, the champ, struck early one with a Super Kick, but Itami kicked out. Itami then went high risk, but Breeze turned it into a Beauty Shot, which Itami somehow kicked out of. The two the traded offense, with a few more big kicks, before Itami countered an arm drag into the GTS, but Breeze's arm was under the bottom rope, forcing the break. Breeze set up an ambush on the outside, regaining control before hitting another Super Kick. He attempted the Beauty Shot, but Itami countered the move, hitting a variety of strikes. Breeze kicked out again, and this time was successful on the Beauty Shot, finally scoring the 3 count. It took an effort, but Breeze retained his title. The tag titles were on the line in our next match, as Enzo and Big Cass defended against the Vaudevillains. It was chaos from the start, but the champs soon got momentum thanks to Cass's raw power. The 'Villains gave it their best, but Enzo and Cass were on their game, hitting their finisher followed by Enzo's DDT for the victory and the second straight title retain. The final preliminary match saw the NXT Women's Title on the line, as Bayley and Paige went head to head for the gold. Early on, the challenger realized that Bayley's back was central to her offense, and went straight after her target with submissions. A powerbomb from Paige on the outside did serious damage to the back of Bayley, giving her a huge advantage. Bayley fired back with all her strength, but Paige countered the Bayley to Belly, hitting a Ram-Paige that could only score a 2 count. Bayley fought back again, hitting anything she possibly could, but Paige hit a big suplex that swung momentum. From there, it was pretty straightforward, as Bayley couldn't kick out of a second Ram-Paige, and the Anti-Diva was awarded the gold. The victory for Paige stunned the NXT crowd, and quite a few booed Paige as she celebrated. Although Paige has had the support of the NXT fans in the past, something tells me that might be about to change...

The first of our two main events featured the street fight to settle a war that has been ongoing since Week 1 of Universe Mode. AJ came out of the gate strong before Corbin's power overwhelmed him, and Corbin quickly went to the outside, grabbing two chairs. He then smashed The Phenomenal One with anything he could find, and beat him with vicious chair shots, finishing it off with an End of Days on the concrete. He rolled AJ back into the ring with the goal of pinning him right then and there, but Styles fought back. AJ came close to beating Corbin several times, but some well placed shots from a kendo stick followed by a suplex to the outside gave The Lone Wolf momentum. Styles reversed again, then knocked Corbin down and went for a Phoenix Splash, but Corbin rolled out of the way. The Lone Wolf then hit Styles with a table and set him on it, before climbing to the top and hitting an incredible flying elbow. Corbin signaled that the end was near, and went for the End of Days, but Styles hit him with a knee to the face, before planting the big man with the Styles Clash for the victory. Last but not least, it was main event time, as the NXT Championship was on the line, with Finn Balor defending against Sami Zayn. It was the champ who would gain early control after some traded offense, when Sami went high risk, getting rewarded with inverted DDT. Finn continued to dominate, picking apart the challenger. He hit a big dropkick in the corner for a near fall, and seemed to be in command, but Sami turned it around, hitting a Blue Thunder Bomb, and then planted Finn on the outside with a Torpedo DDT. The two then brawled on the outside, neither assuming control, but Finn showed his mean streak, slamming Sami's head into the steel steps. He dragged a badly beaten Zayn into the ring, and nailed him with a Bloody Sunday followed by a Coup de Grace. Assuming he had the match won, Balor then posed in the ring before covering Zayn, a poor choice, as Sami kicked out. Stunned, Balor signaled to the back, and the lights went out. When they came back on, two masked men were standing in the ring, and the ref was down. The masked men decimated Zayn, before Balor hit another Bloody Sunday and covered Sami as another ref ran down to count the 3. After the match, a stunned NXT crowd watched the masked men assist Balor to strap the belt around his waist. They then unmasked, revealing that they were former members of the Bullet Club, Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows. They each wore shirts saying "Balor Club" and carried Balor out of their shoulders as the crowd remained stunned into silence. What could this mean for the future of NXT?

I hope you've enjoyed this episode of NXT. It took a lot of time to write, so I hope you enjoyed the more extensive format. Expect to see this type of detail for most pay per views. It was an exciting night, featuring a new NXT Women's champion, and the debut of Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows. Join me soon for the final Smackdown before Extreme Rules.

Henry's Universe Mode #231: WrestleMania II (Part 3)

Finn Balor vs The Undertaker Finn Balor felt the full force of the strikes of The Undertaker in the early going, eating rights and lefts to the skull. The Undertaker continued to lay into Balor, dumping him to the floor with a clothesline, then following up with his vintage suicide dive! After a brief skirmish on the outside, the Deadman got destructive, grabbing the Demon's throat and driving him through the announce table with a chokeslam! It was here that The Undertaker allowed Finn Balor a chance to just give up and concede defeat, but Balor wasn't having any of it. Finn got his second wind, countering an attempted chokeslam to connect with a reverse DDT, then the shotgun dropkick in the corner. Up top, Finn connected with Coup de Grace! 1........................2.......................but it's going to take a lot more to put The Undertaker away, especially at WrestleMania. Balor laid in some shots, busting The Undertaker open, but that proved to be a huge mistake. ...

American Dad "Stompe Le Monde" Review

You know, I once tried to make it in musical theater. If only I had watched this episode beforehand, I would've known I needed a leather jacket to truly make it. Alas, those dreams are for a more pretentious soul than mine. "Stompe Le Monde" is a wild episode of American Dad, one that starts with Stan's previously unknown uncle dying and ends with wanton destruction of many Sonic Drive-Ins. It's a crazy a journey as it sounds, one that left me just struggling to keep up. The family to use the new inheritance to travel to New York City, but Stan quickly blows the money on the rights to Stomp, which is apparently a real musical. The whole town of Langley is very excited to see the new show, but Stan has no idea what he's doing, never once hiring a director or even rehearsing. Why this only came up literally minutes before opening is anyone's guess. The Smith Family is forced to go on the run, and are attacked by many ferocious coyotes off-screen. In ye...

American Dad "The Hand that Rocks the Rogu" Review

American Dad as a show is definitely not afraid to get a little freaky, and nothing is more evident than the existence of Rogu, Roger's tumor that became a character himself in "Persona Assistant". Rogu primarily works as a character because he stays in the background, but this week, he takes a starring role in one of the weirdest American Dad episodes to date. "The Hand that Rocks the Rogu" has little in the way of traditional plot structure, and can only barely be considered an episode at all. It's more a collection of funny and bizarre skits, with a few running plot points that end up forming some sort of resolution. Steve wants to become a babysitter, but Francine says he's not ready, so he needs to prove himself to her. He does that by taking care of Rogu, as Roger is off for a night of NSFW activities. Steve is instructed not to let Rogu have candy or screentime, but violates both rules almost immediately. It turns out that Rogu multiplies w...
