Jeff Hardy vs Titus O'Neil vs Cody Rhodes vs Big E vs Aiden English vs Edge
This was an intriguing concept cooked up by Teddy Long, with one member from six different tag teams, competing to earn a tag title match at Summerslam. Competitors were chosen at random, with Jeff Hardy representing The Hardy Boyz, Titus representing the Prime Time Players, Cody representing the Rhodes Scholars, Big E representing the New Day, Aiden English representing The Vaudevillains and Edge representing Edge and Christian.
Titus was the first out, eliminated by Big E and Aiden English quickly followed, as Cody Rhodes picked up his first elimination. Jeff Hardy and Edge formed an interesting partnership, using their experience to eliminate Cody. The alliance didn't last long, and Big E was saved as Jeff and Edge went at it, with Edge ultimately scoring the elimination. Big E used his strength to stay in the ring, but Edge used his smarts to get the big man over the top rope and out of the match. Edge celebrated with his buddy Christian, as the pair punched their tickets to Summerslam.
Winner: Edge
Kevin Owens vs Dolph Ziggler- United States Title #1 Contender's Match
With a ticket to Summerslam and a shot at the US Title on the line, Dolph took no chances, jumping Kevin Owens before the bell rang. The referee was able to restore order and get both men in the ring, but they quickly brawled to the outside. Owens was so focused on tearing Dolph apart, he forgot about the ref's 10 count, and both men were counted out.
Smackdown GM Teddy Long was tearing his hair out after the match, trying to get a US Title Match for Summerslam. The champ himself, Dean Ambrose, gave his own suggestion; being such a great champ, he agreed to take on both men at Summerslam. Wtih no other options, Teddy signed off on the match.

Kurt Angle vs Cesaro
With two title matches approaching at Summerslam, the Swiss Superman Cesaro could not afford to overlook his opponent, Kurt Angle. Cesaro dominated the Olympic Gold Medalist, tossing him around the ring with ease. Cesaro, thinking of his two title matches, began to take this too easy, and Angle hung around, eventually getting back into the match. The two then began a suplex exhibition, each man trading a variety of different suplexes, with each man getting back up to connect once more. A turning point in the match came after Cesaro countered two Angle Slam attempts from Angle, connecting on the Neutralizer to score an all-important victory.
Winner: Cesaro
The Cesaro Train continues to roll over Smackdown, with the Swiss Superman quickly becoming the face of the blue brand. Will his dominance continue, or can the combination of Edge, Christian and Randy Orton bring down his growing empire? Summerslam is just nine days away.
