Henry's Universe Mode #84: Survivor Series(Part 2)

We return with Part 2 of Survivor Series 2016, which kicks off with Team Undertaker vs Team Kane, and features two world title matches. Team Undertaker vs Team Kane- Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match Not only was this a fierce competition between brothers, it was also a competition between brands, as Undertaker represented Raw and Kane represented SmackDown. The two brothers started the match-up, quickly brawling to the outside. They seemed to have no regard for the referee's count, but when the count reached 9, the Deadman rolled back into the ring. Kane reacted too late, and was counted out to eliminate the team captain. Kane, furious, attacked his brother from behind. With Itami and Balor taken out by The Ascension, Kane decimated the Undertaker with a chokeslam through the announce table, causing the Deadman to be counted out as well, leaving it to a tag team match. Try as they might, Itami and Balor couldn't handle the power of The Ascension, and Itami...

Henry's Universe Mode #83: Survivor Series(Part 1)

Survival. It's what all beings strive for, what brings life and prosperity to the tribe. Survival by any means, by any method. To survive the worst is triumph, to rise above that which holds you back, the demons that haunt your soul. Survival is everything, and failure is unforgivable. When fantasy warfare becomes reality, who will survive the war that follows? An arrogant, cocky champion must survive the greatest test that he will ever face to walk out with the gold. Two brothers, locked in eternal conflict must direct their forces or face extinction. Enemies face off, champions will be crowned, and factions will go to war. Who will survive and who will fall? And now, Raw and SmackDown present............Survivor Series! Survivor Series 2016 Recap

With more time devoted to an intro than the main event of a major pay-per-view, it's my recap of Survivor Series 2016! This was the strangest night of pro wrestling I've ever seen. It was off the hook, wild and electrifying and above all shocking. It was three and a half hours of insane booking, fantastic wrestling and moments that will stand for years to come. So in short, it was a WrestleMania in the fall. That's literally the best description I have for this night. In what was the only major disappointment of the night, we opened with the women's elimination match. Somehow, in a match featuring four outstanding workers and one Nia Jax, this was entirely forgettable. Bayley won it for the Raw brand and Charlotte attacked her after the match, and no one cared. Next up we had Sami Zayn against The Miz, with the future of the Intercontinental Championship hanging in the balance. These are two great workers, and they weren't quite on their A games, but still del...

NXT TakeOver: Toronto Recap

NXT has been a sub-par product over the past year and a half, as the shine has begun to wear off for Triple H's baby. But NXT has always been able to deliver on the big stage, and that was no different tonight. The Toronto crowd was red hot throughout the whole show, but especially at the start, with Canadians Bobby Roode and Tye Dillinger kicking off the show. It was pretty obvious where this match was heading just from the entrances alone; Bobby Roode will be one of the main faces of NXT, whereas Tye Dillinger has quickly settled into the Tyler Breeze role. Despite the finish being obvious, the match was solid, and Bobby Roode is ridiculously over. Next up we had the finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, pitting the Authors of Pain against the Australians TM-61. Not much to say here; it was a fairly bland tag match, though I did like the old-school shark cage stipulation. The Authors of Pain appear destined for big things, and TM-61, despite being great wrestlers, come ...

South Park "Members Only" Review

Member Jabba the Hutt? South Park continues to roll along, continuing one of it's strongest seasons in history. Although this episode had plenty of ups, there were definitely some downs. Not everyone's perfect, and it appears Matt and Trey have nailed the formula this year, though with some slight rough spots. Let's start off where we ended last episode, with Cartman and his desperate attempt to reach Mars. This subplot has been pretty weak, although I have enjoyed Cartman's new character, and this week it reached new lows. Any scene featuring this story dragged the episode to a grinding halt, to the point where I really didn't care what happened by the end. It's a shame, really; Elon Musk's character work was very solid, and I've really enjoyed Butters this season, but this was an utter trainwreck. Everything else was near perfection, though. The Member Berries have taken on a life of their own, and started to reveal their plan this week, as they...

Henry's Universe Mode: Survivor Series Preview

Within a few short weeks, Henry's Universe Mode will begin again, on Sunday November 27th for Survivor Series. I'm here today to run-down the card and explain each match, so that you can better understand the stories whilst reading the post. Enjoy! Survivor Series 2016 Card: The Wyatt Family vs The Shield These two warring factions have been going back and forth on Raw. Both have been having their issues, with the Shield even abandoning their signature entrance as tempers boil. In order to cease the chaos, Raw GM Shane McMahon ordered this six-man tag match in hopes of settling the score. Baron Corbin(c) vs Apollo Crews- Intercontinental Title Match Two of SmackDown's break-out stars will collide when Baron Corbin and Apollo Crews meet for the Intercontinental Title. Apollo won a 10-man battle royal to earn his title shot, and will look to dethrone the Lone Wolf. Kevin Owens(c) vs Sami Zayn- United States Title Match Kevin Owens has been ru...

Henry's Universe Mode Update

Hey guys, it's Henry with an update on Season 2 of Henry's Universe Mode. I've been working to get it ready over the past few weeks, and I'm almost done. Season 2 should premiere soon, so here's what to expect. First up, I've done what I said and cleaned up the rosters. I've gotten rid of a lot of CAWs on both Raw and SmackDown. This was the reason I had to shut down NXT; there simply aren't enough guys and girls in the game that I can get by without CAWs. Despite that, I think both rosters look quite good, and I'm excited to see what new stories and matches I can show off in Season 2. Second off, you'll notice that some things have changed. Belts have changed hands and been retired, and roster members have arrived and left. If you read through my wiki, you'll get some brief notes, however if you're still confused don't worry. The return for Season 2 will be at the Survivor Series PPV. Before I actually put up the post, I'll...

South Park "Oh, Jeez" Review

Can you handle this? South Park has reached a point where they can juggle current politics with their own stories, and blend them quite well. Never before has that been more evident than in this episode. Thanks to Trump's surprise win just 24 hours before the episode hit the airwaves, Matt and Trey were forced to change content at the last moment. They did it beautifully, encapsulating a lot of the general feeling after the election whilst still pushing forward with their own version of events. Let's start at the top. Giant Douche has just become the new President of the United States, enraging Randy, who thought he and Garrison were working together. This was all a ruse, of course it was, and it appears Garrison has been turned thanks to some sort of Member Berry splooge. I don't know how better to explain this, but it looks like the Member Berries are taking over. Back at the school, Bill Clinton has arrived with a very special message, accompanied by a tap-dancing...
