We return with Part 2 of Survivor Series 2016, which kicks off with Team Undertaker vs Team Kane, and features two world title matches.
Team Undertaker vs Team Kane- Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match
Not only was this a fierce competition between brothers, it was also a competition between brands, as Undertaker represented Raw and Kane represented SmackDown. The two brothers started the match-up, quickly brawling to the outside. They seemed to have no regard for the referee's count, but when the count reached 9, the Deadman rolled back into the ring. Kane reacted too late, and was counted out to eliminate the team captain. Kane, furious, attacked his brother from behind. With Itami and Balor taken out by The Ascension, Kane decimated the Undertaker with a chokeslam through the announce table, causing the Deadman to be counted out as well, leaving it to a tag team match. Try as they might, Itami and Balor couldn't handle the power of The Ascension, and Itami was eliminated by a Fall of Man. Only Finn Balor was left to represent Team Undertaker and the Raw brand, and although he scored a surprise elimination of Viktor with a roll-up, he couldn't eliminate Konnor. The big man wore down Balor and pinned him with a big full nelson slam to win it for Team Kane.
Winners: Team Kane Survivor(s): Konnor
AJ Syles(c) vs Randy Orton vs Cesaro vs Tyson Kidd- WWE Title Match
Tyson Kidd was clearly the underdog heading into this match, competing with three former or current WWE Champions. That didn't stop Tyson in the early going, as he went straight after the champ, AJ Styles. The Viper went at it inside the ring with Cesaro, who was determined to knock Orton off his perch. The Swiss Superman quickly controlled the ring, taking out Orton before decimating Styles with a Swiss Death. That left the two former tag champs, Cesaro and Tyson Kidd, to square off in the middle of the ring. After a brief exchange between Cesaro and Kidd, Styles re-entered with a passion, taking out Kidd and hitting a Styles Clash on Cesaro. Orton saved the match, before hitting a RKO on Styles. He would've become a three-time WWE Champion right then and there, but Styles had the ring presence to get his foot to the bottom rope. Enraged, Orton looked to take Styles out, but Cesaro entered the ring, and began brawling with Orton. The two found their way outside the ring, and continued their brawl through the crowd, forgetting about the match entirely. Back in the ring, Styles was back to his feet and controlling a lifeless Tyson Kidd. It looked to be all over as the Phenomenal One looked for a Styles Clash, but Kidd shocked the champion by rolling through into a Dungeon Lock. With the crowd screaming themselves hoarse, Styles found nowhere to go, and tapped out in the middle of the ring, crowning a new WWE Champion.
A clearly emotional Kidd held his new gold before departing to celebrate with his friends and family in the crowd. Tyson Kidd will go down as one of the most unlikely of world champion, and left us with a moment that will never be forgotten.
Winner and the NEW WWE Champion: Tyson Kidd
Brock Lesnar(c) vs Goldberg- World Heavyweight Title Match
This was the main event, and both men got going early, brawling before the bell could ring. Goldberg took control early, hitting an array of power moves. A rake to the eyes shifted the tide in favor of the champion, who wore down the challenger with takedowns and big rights and lefts, quickly opening a gash on Goldberg. This only served as a motivator, though, and Goldberg nearly broke Lesnar in half with a devastating Spear. Before Goldberg could hit the Jackhammer, though, Lesnar rolled to the outside of the ring, thinking he would be safe. He thought wrong, as Goldberg blinsided the champion with a second Spear through the ringside barricade. Lesnar was clearly reeling, but still held champion's advantage, forcing Goldberg to try and get his lifeless body back into the ring. This gave Brock time to recover, and he took advantage, hitting three Germans before delivering a massive F-5. This failed to put the challenger away, however, and a stunned Lesnar tried to do something drastic, climbing to the top rope. The risk did not pay off, as Lesnar leaped right into a third Spear, this one potentially even more devastating. Goldberg lifted the champion off his feet and planted him with a Jackhammer, bringing an end to Lesnar's title reign, and beginning the reign of Goldberg.
Winner and the NEW World Heavyweight Champion: Goldberg
