The Dog League: Week 10 Review(2019 Season)

Rare Woofs and Tailwaggerz renew hostilities in the league's premier rivalry, resulting in another absolute classic showdown. (Reminder: the Dog League is a custom fantasy football league run on NFL.com)

Game 1: Tug of War vs Bark Force

Tug of War have caught fire as of late, and were once again all over it from the very start, with Derrick Henry(33.1 points), Michael Thomas(28.2 points) and the Ravens defense(24 points) putting Bark Force in immediate trouble. Fortunately for them, the returning Patrick Mahomes(29.84 points) was magnificent, and Aaron Jones(27.3 points) bounced back in a big way to open the possibility of a late comeback. But the normally steady receivers failed Bark Force, as Stefon Diggs(7.9 points) couldn't get much going and Tyler Lockett(5.9 points) was stifled by the 49ers and picked up an injury along the way. Despite the poor performances of the two Rams starters, Cooper Kupp(0 points) and Greg Zuerlein(3 points), Tug of War won their second game in a row, third of the last four, as they have quickly become the most threatening team in the league.

Final: Tug of War(134.86) - Bark Force(116.04)

Game 2: Leaping Girl vs Ridiculous Rascals

This game wasn't expected to be close, but some unexpected struggles for Leaping Girl did add a little drama. No one on her team looked very good this week, with no starter even topping 20 points and her best scorer, Lamar Jackson(33.42 points), left behind on the bench while Mark Ingram(9.4 points) didn't do much against the lowly Bengals. Luckily for her, Rascal was absolutely horrible, particularly at running back, where Ezekiel Elliott(8.3 points), Marlon Mack(9.2 points) and Jaylen Samuels(7 points) all failed to reach the endzone or make any significant impact. The Saints defense(3 points) were also awful, leaving it to Golden Tate(23.5 points) to waste his best of the game of the year on this sorry bunch. Russell Wilson(16.58 points) wasn't up to his usual standards, but did enough to strike to killing blow for Emma's seventh win of the year and third in a row.

Final: Leaping Girl(101.68) - Ridiculous Rascals(84.92)

Game 3: Rare Woofs vs Tailwaggerz

Coming off a great game last week, Tailwaggerz wasted no time getting going against the best team in the league, as Josh Jacobs(19.1 points) quickly gave them the lead on Thursday night. Spot starter Kyler Murray(26.76 points) and the white hot Tyreek Hill(33 points) helped put together a massive lead, as the defending champs looked for their second win in a row. Slowly but surely, Rare Woofs crawled back into it, as Christian McCaffrey(26.1 points) and Davante Adams(18.8 points) gained ground. But it wasn't enough to put Rare Woofs in good striking distance, as they entered Sunday night on the verge of their third loss of the year, trailing by 36 points. It seemed like Tailwaggerz could break out the champagne, but they still needed to get through Dalvin Cook and Amari Cooper.

They didn't.

Instead, Cook(31.3 points) and Cooper(31.7 points) orchestrated one of the greatest comebacks the Dog League has ever seen, somehow turning a 36 point deficit into a 27 point lead, leaving Tailwaggerz completely stunned. Chris Carson(19.1 points) did his best to give them a chance, but the 49ers defense(19 points) slammed the door on this extremely improbable victory. By the way, thanks to Carson's scoring, Tailwaggerz got double digits from every player for the second week in a row, becoming the first team to achieve this feat in a loss. These two teams have battled it out in some incredible games, from their seesaw battle in Week 5 of last year, Rare Woofs ending Tailwaggerz' seven game winning streak and their low scoring affair in the championship, these two have already made history against each other. And now, a new chapter is written with this incredible clash that completely overshadowed everything else in the league this week. This is their final regular season matchup of the year, but if the Fantasy Football gods are merciful, maybe we could see one more game between these two in the playoffs.

Final: Rare Woofs(189.42) - Tailwaggerz(162.46)

South Park "Not Funny" Review

Good night, amateur trolls that trolled a troll and trolled themselves into a troll, brothers. With one episode to go in the season, South Park has remained consistently funny and on-point with their humor, though I worry about how their going to wrap all of this up. There are a good six to seven ongoing storylines right now, and only one episode to finish off a few of them. There was no clear focus this week, but I'll start where the episode ended, with Gerald's troll-based storyline. It's pretty satisfying to see the Troll Hunter's massive revelation; that he is, in fact, just another troll, bent on world destruction. Even Gerald couldn't find the humor in his master plan, as the Troll Hunter is truly in a league of his own. With the world on the brink of war, the trolling has truly begun, as the Troll Hunter went to work on his own employees and the other trolls, though why they had to be naked for that is beyond me. Kyle is always a sucker for saving the ...
