The Dog League: Week 9 Review(2019 Season)

Leaping Girl gets her chance to finally gain the upper hand in her over two month long quest to catch Rare Woofs, though she may have a new target in that black cat. (Reminder: the Dog League is a custom fantasy football league run on NFL.com)

Game 1: Tug of War vs Ridiculous Rascals

This game was over from the word "go", as Adam Thielen(0 points) went out early for Rascal, while Zach Ertz(25.3 points) and Derrick Henry(24.9 points) took turns pummeling Rascal into the dirt. Tug of War's reliance on Chicago did put them in some danger, as spot starter Allen Robinson(1.6 points) and the Bears defense(4 points) were both horrible, but it wasn't enough to make this game in any way competitive. Dak Prescott(21.48 points) struck the death blow on Monday night, as Tug of War wins their second game out of the last three and sends Ridiculous Rascals plummeting to the basement of the league.

Final Score: Tug of War(123.88) - Ridiculous Rascals(84.84)

Game 2: Tailwaggerz vs Bark Force

Deshaun Watson(19.74 points) got things going early on Sunday morning, and Tailwaggerz were quickly into cruise control during the later games, with Tyreek Hill(26.5 points) and spot starter Jaylen Samuels(19.3 points) seemingly crowning the team winners this week. But then the afternoon games hit, as Matthew Stafford(24.84 points) and Tyler Lockett(40.2 points) absolutely exploded for massive days in shootouts, and the game was far from over. In the end, Josh Jacobs(24 points) was absolutely clutch, securing Tailwaggerz just enough of a lead to hold off Justin Tucker(6 points) on Sunday night for their fifth win of the year. Bark Force continues their descent down the standings, as mediocre performances from Aaron Jones(3.9 points) and Stefon Diggs(2.6 points) completely did them in in a game that was there for the taking. And a special shoutout to Evan Engram(11 points) who did just enough on Monday night to secure Tailwaggerz double digit scoring from every player, the first time in Dog League history this feat has occurred. Congratulations to the defending champions!

Final Score: Tailwaggerz(154.04) - Bark Force(138.44)

Game 3: Rare Woofs vs Leaping Girl

This was absolutely the biggest game of the year for Leaping Girl, and it got off to a bit of a rocky start, as Zane Gonzalez(5 points) didn't get many opportunities, though George Kittle(19.9 points) battled through injury for a heroic performance. But then D.J. Chark(7 points) couldn't get much going in London, and the situation looked grim for Emma. It got worse when Christian McCaffrey(37.6 points) absolutely torched the Titans defense, putting her in a massive hole. But perhaps no one saw coming just how awful the defense would be in Seattle, and Emma was there to capitalize. Russell Wilson(39.22 points) and Mike Evans(36 points) got into a real life and fantasy shootout, and provided her with almost half of her total scoring, as Leaping Girl could smell victory on the way. Rare Woofs did mount a comeback attempt, but Tom Brady(13.4 points) was well below his usual standards, and Amari Cooper(18 points) couldn't quite do enough as the league leaders fell to defeat for just the second time this year. For now, I believe Rare Woofs still holds the tiebreaker, as they beat Leaping Girl in Week 4 by more points than they lost by this week, though I'm unsure if that's the second tiebreaker or not. Either way, both teams will meet one more time in Week 14, the final week of the regular season.

Final Score: Rare Woofs(144.9) - Leaping Girl(153.62)

South Park "Not Funny" Review

Good night, amateur trolls that trolled a troll and trolled themselves into a troll, brothers. With one episode to go in the season, South Park has remained consistently funny and on-point with their humor, though I worry about how their going to wrap all of this up. There are a good six to seven ongoing storylines right now, and only one episode to finish off a few of them. There was no clear focus this week, but I'll start where the episode ended, with Gerald's troll-based storyline. It's pretty satisfying to see the Troll Hunter's massive revelation; that he is, in fact, just another troll, bent on world destruction. Even Gerald couldn't find the humor in his master plan, as the Troll Hunter is truly in a league of his own. With the world on the brink of war, the trolling has truly begun, as the Troll Hunter went to work on his own employees and the other trolls, though why they had to be naked for that is beyond me. Kyle is always a sucker for saving the ...
