The Dog League: Week 13 Preview(2019 Season)

Rare Woofs could clinch the regular season title with a win this week, but must go through the red hot Tug of War to do so. (Reminder: the Dog League is a custom fantasy football league run on NFL.com)

Bark Force

Record: (3-9, 6th place)

Now on a four game losing streak, Bark Force are desperate to salvage anything from this season, and do at least get back Patrick Mahomes and Hunter Henry this week. They will also start D.J. Moore in the flex after his excellent performance against the Saints, and drop last week's starting quarterback, Matt Ryan, for Kirk Cousins. Finally, they'll start the Rams defense against the Cardinals as the Bills defense have a tough matchup in Dallas.

Week 13 Starting Lineup(vs Ridiculous Rascals)

QB Patrick Mahomes
RB Aaron Jones
RB Nick Chubb
WR DeAndre Hopkins
WR Tyler Lockett
TE Hunter Henry
WR D.J. Moore
K Justin Tucker
DEF Los Angeles Rams

Ridiculous Rascals

Record: (4-8, 5th place)

Rascal picks up Jonathan Williams off the waiver wire this week, plugging him immediately into the starting lineup in the flex, while Joe Mixon takes the 2nd running back spot. All these moves send Calvin Ridley to the bench, though he could be required to start anyways with Julio Jones questionable. Rascal also drops Golden Tate, who is in concussion protocol, to bring back Will Fuller and makes a switch at kicker, bringing in Chris Boswell for Brett Maher.

UPDATE: With Julio Jones ruled out, Calvin Ridley will start in his place.

Week 13 Starting Lineup(vs Bark Force)

QB Aaron Rodgers
RB Ezekiel Elliott
RB Joe Mixon
WR Jarvis Landry
WR Calvin Ridley
TE Darren Waller
RB Jonathan Williams
K Mason Crosby
DEF Pittsburgh Steelers

Tailwaggerz

Current Record: (5-7, 4th place)

Looking to solve their defensive woes, Tailwaggerz drop Matt Gay and the Raiders defense to pick up both the Panthers and Eagles units. They'll start Carolina this week as they host the Washington Redskins. Tailwaggerz bring in Tyreek Hill and T.Y. Hilton to make their receiving corps look much improved, and make a change at quarterback, benching Deshaun Watson against the Patriots and starting Kyler Murray instead. Finally, they quickly let go of James White to pick up Kenyan Drake.

UPDATE: With T.Y. Hilton ruled out, Tailwaggerz brings John Brown back into their starting lineup.

UPDATE(x2): Tailwaggerz has made the late decision to turn to Miles Sanders over Chris Carson this week, as Sanders will be the lead back against Miami's soft run defense.

Week 13 Starting Lineup(vs Leaping Girl)

QB Kyler Murray
RB Alvin Kamara
RB Josh Jacobs
WR Tyreek Hill
WR John Brown
TE Jared Cook
RB Miles Sanders
K Harrison Butker
DEF Carolina Panthers

Tug of War

Current Record: (6-6, 3rd place)

With a very complete roster and a starting lineup filled with good matchups, Tug of War makes no moves this week. They do have to keep an eye on the health of Zach Ertz, who is dealing with a hamstring injury, as their backup tight end, Austin Hooper, is still out. They also could consider pulling Saquon Barkley out of the lineup, as he has really struggled lately, but with Barkley having a good matchup against the Packers, and backup Leonard Fournette in a tough one against Tampa Bay, they stand pat.

Week 13 Starting Lineup(vs Rare Woofs)

QB Drew Brees
RB Derrick Henry
RB Saquon Barkley
WR Michael Thomas
WR Chris Godwin
TE Zach Ertz
WR Cooper Kupp
K Greg Zuerlein
DEF Chicago Bears

Leaping Girl

Current Record: (8-4, 2nd place)

Emma makes a couple changes in backup players this week, dropping Emmanuel Sanders and Jacob Hollister to pick up DeVante Parker and Kyle Rudolph. She also benches Mark Ingram for Austin Ekeler, as though Ingram was great against the Rams, she doesn't want to risk him against the 49ers' great defense. Phillip Lindsay replaces Devin Singletary in the flex, as Singletary faces the solid Dallas run defense, and Zane Gonzalez returns to start at kicker, leaving Matt Prater to be dropped for the Jets defense.

Week 13 Starting Lineup(vs Tailwaggerz)

QB Lamar Jackson
RB Le'Veon Bell
RB Austin Ekeler
WR Mike Evans
WR D.J. Chark
TE George Kittle
RB Phillip Lindsay
K Zane Gonzalez
DEF New England Patriots

Rare Woofs

Current Record: (10-2, 1st place)

Big names return for Rare Woofs this week, as Dalvin Cook and Travis Kelce return to the starting lineup to replace Tevin Coleman and Mark Andrews. The Dog League's first 10 win team drops Derrius Guice to pick up Devonta Freeman and also drops Jamison Crowder to add Tyler Boyd, who gets the start over the struggling Amari Cooper as he gets set for a good matchup against the Jets. They also make a bold move, pickup up the Packers defense who will start over the 49ers, as Green Bay travels to face rookie Daniel Jones and the Giants.

Week 13 Starting Lineup(vs Tug of War)

QB Jameis Winston
RB Christian McCaffrey
RB Dalvin Cook
WR Julian Edelman
WR Davante Adams
TE Travis Kelce
WR Tyler Boyd
K Wil Lutz
DEF Green Bay Packers

South Park "Not Funny" Review

Good night, amateur trolls that trolled a troll and trolled themselves into a troll, brothers. With one episode to go in the season, South Park has remained consistently funny and on-point with their humor, though I worry about how their going to wrap all of this up. There are a good six to seven ongoing storylines right now, and only one episode to finish off a few of them. There was no clear focus this week, but I'll start where the episode ended, with Gerald's troll-based storyline. It's pretty satisfying to see the Troll Hunter's massive revelation; that he is, in fact, just another troll, bent on world destruction. Even Gerald couldn't find the humor in his master plan, as the Troll Hunter is truly in a league of his own. With the world on the brink of war, the trolling has truly begun, as the Troll Hunter went to work on his own employees and the other trolls, though why they had to be naked for that is beyond me. Kyle is always a sucker for saving the ...

Latest Update on new puppy

As you may well know from my mom's posts, there is a handsome puppy in the house. His name is Rascal, which appropriately fits him. Before Tuesday, he'd never had much problem with the crate, something I found interesting. He'd also never experienced anxiety issues when people came and left. Then yesterday, my dad and I were standing in the driveway organizing things for a trip to Goodwill. All of a sudden, Rascal freaked out. Some history behind the newest member of our family. Rascal was a stray in Hollister, when CARE, a rescue organization, found him. At this time Rascal was estimated to be about 2 months old, the age of a puppy when you first get them. He went to another family, who had him for quite a while, around 5 months. Then, without explanation, this family moved to Ohio, surrendering Rascal. CARE once again had him and his crazy antics for about a month. Rascal's name was changed to Boots in his time with CARE, but he wouldn't answer to that name. He ...
