These blog updates are becoming a monthly occurrence at this point, though I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. I generally go through projects on this blog quite quickly, so I could've probably done a near-monthly update for every year of this blog's history if I really wanted to. As always, I've got a couple different things to talk about, so let's get started.
First of all, The New World. I thought that series had plenty of potential, but it's pretty obvious to see that it's not really catching on.Views for the first four posts have not been great, though that matters less than the fact that I'm simply not enjoying making it. I think part of the issue is that it's a very visual series, as seeing these new teams in actual games looks extremely cool, and I just can't capture that feeling in written form. But the biggest problem is the AI, who have absolutely no clue how to operate any of those teams. I could go into further detail of all the issues I experienced, but suffice it to say that it's literally impossible for the computer to properly rebuild rosters that terrible. So yeah, I'm calling an end to that series already. It was a good concept that didn't quite work, not the end of the world.
TEW 2020 finally released yesterday following a two week delay, and I'm not thrilled with the final product. A lot of the internal issues with this year's version of the game were either completely ignored or impossible to fix due to the game's archaic code, which is extraordinarily frustrating. At the end of the day, as someone who has invested likely thousands of hours into that series, I'll probably ending up picking it up, though I won't feel good about it. Will a TEW 2020 series make it to this blog? Maybe, but I'll have to wait for quality real world mods to be released. I don't think many of you know what the CornellVerse is, and that's perfectly fine.
So with a lot of my plans shot, I turned back to pay-per-view reviews a bit earlier than expected, covering Money in the Bank 2020 earlier this week(you can find that here). It was an extremely fun show to watch and to review, but I think it's just going to be a one-off. I have some other plans for a different wrestling series, and I don't think I want too much wrestling going on at the same time, it's nice to have some diversity in content.
So what's next? Well, I plan to drop something new(or perhaps a little old) sometime next week. I think you'll like it. There is the possibility of me moving houses up ahead, though I don't know specifically when that might happen. That probably won't affect anything I'm doing on this blog, but if it does, I'll probably say something on my Twitter(@htk0215). See you next time!
