Blog Update- April 2021

It's been a busy start to the month for me, with 12 posts in 10 days, including my 1,000th. The past couple days have been quiet, so I just wanted to drop in and let you know what's going on, since that type of hectic activity followed by nothing might be a little off-putting.

For a start, as may well be obvious, I've been really enjoying my return to my Madden 12 series, putting in a ton of work in the last few weeks. That pace won't be continuing, but you can still expect to see that content popping up from time to time. I now intend to have just 4 posts a season, with the preseason, regular season summary, playoffs summary, and offseason, with the week-by-week posts completely a thing of the past. That does mean that there will likely be a long gap between preseason and regular season posts, as I have to play 16 games during that period, but I promise you that I have no intention of giving up. My initial plan for The Dynasty by the Bay was to go just 5 years into the future, but I'm having way too much fun to call it that quickly. My expectation is that I can go much further than that now that I no longer have to stop and work on a post for each individual game, so hopefully many more years are possible now.

I do think I can function better with multiple projects going, so while my work on Madden 12 won't be posted quite as frequently, I'm going to fill the space with a return to WWE pay-per-view reviews. I got caught up in all the WrestleMania hype, so I'm excited to continue my journey through WWE history, though I won't be picking up from where I left off in 2003. Rather, I'll be jumping back further in time, all the way to 1990, to cover all the shows I've skipped. It's time to return to my starting goal of reviewing every WWE pay-per-view ever, which may mean getting through some really rough periods in company history, but I want to be a completionist.

Next time on Henry's Pay-Per-View Reviews: SummerSlam 1990, where The Ultimate Warrior and Rick Rude complete their trilogy of pay-per-view bouts inside of a steel cage. See you soon.

Latest Update on new puppy

As you may well know from my mom's posts, there is a handsome puppy in the house. His name is Rascal, which appropriately fits him. Before Tuesday, he'd never had much problem with the crate, something I found interesting. He'd also never experienced anxiety issues when people came and left. Then yesterday, my dad and I were standing in the driveway organizing things for a trip to Goodwill. All of a sudden, Rascal freaked out. Some history behind the newest member of our family. Rascal was a stray in Hollister, when CARE, a rescue organization, found him. At this time Rascal was estimated to be about 2 months old, the age of a puppy when you first get them. He went to another family, who had him for quite a while, around 5 months. Then, without explanation, this family moved to Ohio, surrendering Rascal. CARE once again had him and his crazy antics for about a month. Rascal's name was changed to Boots in his time with CARE, but he wouldn't answer to that name. He ...

Henry's Universe Mode: 2017 WWE Draft

We are here today to conduct the first ever WWE Draft, where Raw and SmackDown competitors will learn the fates heading into Season 3 of Henry's Universe Mode. In this post, I will give an explanation of the rules, before unveiling each draft pick and giving you my thoughts. Enjoy! Rules -Each brand will have five draft picks, ten picks total. -Champions are not eligible to be drafted. -Tag teams/stables can be drafted as a unit or individuals, depending on what the GM wants and what the wrestler wants. -Thanks to winning Brand Warfare, SmackDown will get the first pick, while Raw will get the last pick. The 2017 WWE Draft begins..........right now! Pick #1- SmackDown selects Brock Lesnar What a way to start of the draft, as the Beast Incarnate in heading to Tuesday Nights. Since losing to Samoa Joe a few weeks ago on Raw, we haven't seen anything from Brock Lesnar. This move will certainly have most of the SmackDown roster looking over their shoulder. ...

South Park "Not Funny" Review

Good night, amateur trolls that trolled a troll and trolled themselves into a troll, brothers. With one episode to go in the season, South Park has remained consistently funny and on-point with their humor, though I worry about how their going to wrap all of this up. There are a good six to seven ongoing storylines right now, and only one episode to finish off a few of them. There was no clear focus this week, but I'll start where the episode ended, with Gerald's troll-based storyline. It's pretty satisfying to see the Troll Hunter's massive revelation; that he is, in fact, just another troll, bent on world destruction. Even Gerald couldn't find the humor in his master plan, as the Troll Hunter is truly in a league of his own. With the world on the brink of war, the trolling has truly begun, as the Troll Hunter went to work on his own employees and the other trolls, though why they had to be naked for that is beyond me. Kyle is always a sucker for saving the ...
