Henry's Universe Mode #98: Main Event

On the final Main Event of 2016, Group B of the Cruiserweight Classic takes center stage, as Rich Swann faces Cedric Alexander and Zack Sabre Jr faces Drew Gulak. Plus, the women of Raw and SmackDown face off in six-woman tag team action. Universe Mode Main Event December 28th, 2016 Location: Denver, CO Carmella, Alicia Fox and Summer Rae vs Charlotte, Naomi and Brie Bella (Editor's Note: Charlotte debuted on Raw a few weeks ago, despite being a part of the SmackDown brand. This was my mistake, try to forget it ever happened) All six of these women were looking for a big win, none more so than Charlotte, who spent a majority of the match in the ring. She was dominant throughout most of that time, before Naomi tagged herself in. This proved to be the wrong choice, as Alicia Fox connected with a Scissors Kick to Naomi to give the Raw women the win. Winners: Carmella, Alicia Fox and Summer Rae Rich Swann vs Cedric Alexander- Cruiserweight Classic Group B Matc

Universe Mode SmackDown December 27th, 2016 Location: Nashville, TN American Alpha vs The Revival Dash and Dawson declared that they are "Top Guys", going right after the best on SmackDown in the tag team champs. The Revival got a big chance to make an impact in this match, and they took full advantage. They dominated the majority of the match, with Gable and Jordan not looking like the unstoppable team they had been. Although Jordan's power did take Dash Wilder a bit off his game, he and Scott Dawson rallied, hitting a Shatter Machine on Gable to pick up a shocking, clean win over the champs. Winners: The Revival Cesaro

Henry's Universe Mode #96: Raw

Tonight, it's the final episode of Raw in 2016. Following last week's vicious assault, Sasha Banks demanded another shot at the Raw Women's Title. Shane McMahon refused, but the champion Bayley accepted, eager to get revenge after last week's attack. Sasha will get another shot at the belt, while Rusev will get a shot at the World Heavyweight Title in the main event, as he faces Brock Lesnar. Henry's Universe Mode #95: Main Event

Welcome back to Main Event! On this episode, the Cruiserweight Classic Group A continues, as TJ Perkins faces Brian Kendrick and Kota Ibushi faces Noam Dar. Also, tag team action as Raw's Dudley Boyz face SmackDown's Prime Time Players. Universe Mode Main Event December 21st, 2016 Location: Sunrise, FL TJ Perkins vs Brian Kendrick- Cruiserweight Classic Group A Match This was definitely the best match of the Cruiserweight Classic thus far, as these two men just beat the hell out of each other. The veteran Kendrick slowed down the younger Perkins in the early going, controlling the pace of the match. Kendrick's best offense just wasn't enough, as TJ kicked out of the Sliced Bread #2, and fought his way out of the Bully Choke. Suplex variations scored a series of near falls for TJ, including a beautiful bridging Northen Lights suplex. Perkins locked in the TJP Clutch, but as he hadn't worked the legs, Kendrick fought out of the deadly hold. A close

Henry's Universe Mode #94: SmackDown

With 2016 winding down to an end, the blue brand plays host to the latest edition of SmackDown. At Armageddon, The Miz, assisted by Dolph Ziggler, stole the Intercontinental Title from Baron Corbin. Tonight, the Lone Wolf must do the unthinkable, teaming up with sworn enemy Apollo Crews to face SmackDown's dastardly duo in our main event. In order to receive another shot at the SmackDown Women's Title, Becky Lynch must team up with the champ, Paige. Henry's Universe Mode #93: Raw

Tonight, the fallout of Armageddon is being felt on Raw. The Legit Boss, Sasha Banks, immediately demanded a rematch after losing to Bayley in the Raw Women's Title Match. Earlier today, Raw GM Shane McMahon denied Sasha another shot at the belt. How will Sasha respond? The Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar, rules once more. After defeating Goldberg to reclaim the World Heavyweight Title at Armageddon, it has been confirmed that Brock will defend his newly-won belt next week, on the final Raw of the year. His opponent will be determined in a six-man battle royal tonight. Despite a humiliating loss against Goldberg two weeks ago, Kevin Owens maintains that Raw is the Kevin Owens Show. Roadblock: End of the Line Recap

WWE Traffic Stop: DUI Checkpoint edition. In among the litany of jokes about its name, and the everyday complaints of internet commenters everywhere, the 'E produced this surprisingly good show. Maybe it's just because of the constant pessimism of the WWE's product, or maybe it's because it really was that good, but I really enjoyed this show. Although the crowd was fairly muted throughout, this show delivered a fairly grandiose feel that most B-level pay-per-views don't posses. I was never on the New Day bandwagon, but I did enjoy their heel work in 2015. That said, I felt they deserved to break Demolition's record, and I thoroughly enjoyed their match tonight. Cesaro and Sheamus are a great pairing, constantly delivering on Raw, and it was no different tonight. They are well deserved tag champs, and I'm intrigued to see what the New Day will do now they have lost the belts. I felt slightly baffled by Sami's "win" over Braun by outlasti

Henry's Universe Mode #92: Armageddon(Part 2)

Welcome back to Part 2 of Armageddon. To kick this part off, we have a tables match between Brock Lesnar and Golberg. To follow it up, the Phenomenal One looks to regain the gold, and in the main event, it is Last Man Standing between Kane and The Undertaker. Goldberg(c) vs Brock Lesnar- Tables Match for the World Heavyweight Title These two beasts went at it right away, opening with a ferocious brawl, exchanging rights and lefts. Goldberg took the fight to Lesnar, but it was clear the champion was not at one hundred percent after Lesnar's assault on Raw. Despite this, Goldberg fought hard, and even had the Beast Incarnate reeling with a Spear. The move took a lot out of Goldberg, and he was not able to capitalize, giving Brock a big opening. The challenger took advantage, hitting Goldberg with a volley of suplexes and finishing his attack off with a F-5. None of this did any good for Lesnar, though, as he wasn't even attempting to put Goldberg through a table and win

Henry's Universe Mode #91: Armageddon(Part 1)

Armageddon. The literal definition is the end, the final battle, the conclusion, the climax. But where there is an end, there is also a beginning. Scorched earth brings new life, and the cycle repeats. What is one without the other? Tonight, the end....................is just the beginning. Today, in Part 1 of 2016's final pay-per-view, champions and challengers collide with high stakes on the line. Gold is at stake, as four tag teams collide to settle scores and vanquish foes. The Lone Wolf puts his newly-won belt at stake for a shot at vengeance, and in Part 1's main event, former friends will go to war as the lovable champion faces the traitorous challenger. The end is here. And now, Raw and SmackDown present......................Armageddon! Henry's Universe Mode #90: Main Event

Tonight on Main Event, it's Cruiserweight Classic Group B action. The talented Rich Swann faces the vicious Drew Gulak, and in the main event the Technical Wizard Zack Sabre Jr takes on Cedric Alexander. Also, it's the debut of one of SmackDown's newest tag teams, The Revival, as they face Raw's Golden Truth. Universe Mode Main Event December 14th, 2016 Location: Greensboro, NC The Revival vs Golden Truth Goldust and R-Truth are talented veterans, but it was Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson that controlled this match. They looked very impressive in their debut, using a slow pace to pick apart the Bizzare One, before finishing him off with a Shatter Machine to pick up a big debut win. Winners: The Revival Rich Swann vs Drew Gulak- Cruiserweight Classic Group B Match This was the classic match up between high flying and technical brilliance, and it was Gulak's slower style that controlled this match. Swann got in his offense whenever he could, hit

Henry's Universe Mode #89: SmackDown

After the announcement that Armageddon will take place this Sunday, SmackDown GM Daniel Bryan has booked two matches for that card. The first will see The Ascension, thanks to their win at Survivor Series against Team Undertaker, get an opportunity at the WWE Tag Team Titles when they take on the champs, American Alpha. The second will see a grudge match paid off as AJ Styles will challenge Tyson Kidd for the WWE Title, as the Phenomenal One looks to recapture the gold. Tonight, in SmackDown's main event, Randy Orton and Cesaro look to settle their issues as they go one-on-one. After The Miz picked up a very dubious win over Baron Corbin a few weeks ago, Daniel Bryan has offered the Awesome One a shot at the gold. Tonight, Apollo Crews will meet Corbin in a rematch with the belt on the line, and the winner will face The Miz on Sunday. Two members of Sunday's competing tag teams go head to head when Chad Gable takes on Viktor. The Big Red Machine, Kane, will go one-on-one with

Following this announcement, Raw GM Shane McMahon booked the first match for Armageddon, as Hideo Itami and Finn Balor will defend their World Tag Team Titles against the New Day. South Park "The End of Serialization As We Know It" Review

"Showed him my d*ck, and called him a f*g"- Dave Beckett, 2016 Man this finale was controversial. It took me a little while to properly formulate my response to this episode, and what I actually felt about it. On first watch, I have to say I very much enjoyed. Most of the jokes landed, and that's really what counts for a series like this. Upon further reflection, I realized just how much was left out, and how little was actually progressed. That being said, this wasn't a bad episode, and this wasn't a bad season. I think the biggest problem with this season is the ten-episode format. There just isn't enough time to let the stories breath and fill their own role, which makes the serialized season practically impossible. This is less of a review of the actual content, and more so my thoughts on the episode. The overall sentiment of this episode, at least how I interpreted it, was that the internet is the most foul, disgusting thing on the planet, and deserv

Henry's Universe Mode #87: Main Event

Today is the return of Main Event, after a near six-month absence. I'm proud to announce that Main Event will play host to a brand new Universe Mode event: the Cruiserweight Classic. That's right, eight of the best cruiserweights from around the world will compete, with the winner becoming the first Cruiserweight champion. Here's how it works: there are two groups of four cruiserweights. Each week, all four members of one group will compete in singles action. Each cruiserweight will wrestle the three other members of his group, with three points for a win, one for a draw, and none for a loss. Should there be a count-out or disqualification, the match will restart. The winner of the group is the cruiserweight that finishes with the most points, and he will advance to the final to face the other group winner for the right to become the first cruiserweight champion. Tonight, we will see Group A in action, as the Golden Star Kota Ibushi faces TJ Perkins and the Wizard of Odd

Henry's Universe Mode #86: SmackDown

We are set for a turbulent night of SmackDown, as the former WWE Champion AJ Styles and the current champion Tyson Kidd are both in the house. Also, Emma and her protege Alexa Bliss look to get back on the same page, Becky Lynch challenges for the SmackDown Women's Title and the tag champs are in non-title action. In the main event, new SmackDown roster member Triple H hosts an open challenge. Who will step up to challenge the Game? Universe Mode SmackDown December 6th, 2016 Location: Dayton, OH More Issues Between Cesaro and Randy Orton Before we could open SmackDown's Season 2 Return, we were interrupted by an issue backstage, as Cesaro and Randy Orton were continuing their brawl from Survivor Series. They just continued to beat the hell out of each other with any weapon available, as SmackDown GM Daniel Bryan tried to get security to break them up. Finally, security was able to get to the backstage area, but not before Orton delivered a wicked RKO to Cesaro

Henry's Universe Mode #85: Raw

Welcome back to Monday Night Raw! Following the events of Survivor Series, Raw will feature a massive main event, as Goldberg puts his newly-won World Heavyweight Title on the line against the United States Champion, Kevin Owens. Mark Henry, the New Day, Enzo and Cass and more are in action as Raw begins Season 2! Universe Mode Monday Night Raw December 5th, 2016 Location: Long Island, NY Asuka Addressed Her Survivor Series Loss We opened the return of Raw with the Empress of Tomorrow, Asuka, who came up short against Bayley to be crowned the first Raw Women's Champion. Asuka minced no words; she accepted her defeat and acknowledged that Bayley had been the better wrestlers. She was interrupted by The Boss, Sasha Banks, who made her way to the ring among a cascade of boos. Sasha quickly went on the offensive, claiming that her actions at Survivor Series were completely justified. She was just trying to make Bayley see the bigger picture; to survive in the WWE, you

TLC 2016 Recap

In which Twitter spends more time talking about AJ Styles' ass than the world title match happening in the ring. This is why we can't have nice things, people. There was more attention paid to a hole in AJ's pants there was for what was an excellent main event. Though, admittedly, I would probably rather pay attention to AJ's ass than invest in James Ellsworth. Jobbers really have come a long way. Enough of my rambling. This was a heel-dominated show, but didn't feel less important because of that. And I have to admit, Bray's win and capture of his first gold got a face pop from me. Orton has added so much legitimacy to the group, and I'm excited to see where they go from here. We went from a high to a definite low, as Nikki Bella and Carmella engaged in the worst no disqualification match I've ever seen. Seriously, it was eight minutes of my life I'll never get back. Luckily, I did spend watching the next half hour or so watching an ex

South Park "Not Funny" Review

Good night, amateur trolls that trolled a troll and trolled themselves into a troll, brothers. With one episode to go in the season, South Park has remained consistently funny and on-point with their humor, though I worry about how their going to wrap all of this up. There are a good six to seven ongoing storylines right now, and only one episode to finish off a few of them. There was no clear focus this week, but I'll start where the episode ended, with Gerald's troll-based storyline. It's pretty satisfying to see the Troll Hunter's massive revelation; that he is, in fact, just another troll, bent on world destruction. Even Gerald couldn't find the humor in his master plan, as the Troll Hunter is truly in a league of his own. With the world on the brink of war, the trolling has truly begun, as the Troll Hunter went to work on his own employees and the other trolls, though why they had to be naked for that is beyond me. Kyle is always a sucker for saving the

Henry's Universe Mode #84: Survivor Series(Part 2)

We return with Part 2 of Survivor Series 2016, which kicks off with Team Undertaker vs Team Kane, and features two world title matches. Team Undertaker vs Team Kane- Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match Not only was this a fierce competition between brothers, it was also a competition between brands, as Undertaker represented Raw and Kane represented SmackDown. The two brothers started the match-up, quickly brawling to the outside. They seemed to have no regard for the referee's count, but when the count reached 9, the Deadman rolled back into the ring. Kane reacted too late, and was counted out to eliminate the team captain. Kane, furious, attacked his brother from behind. With Itami and Balor taken out by The Ascension, Kane decimated the Undertaker with a chokeslam through the announce table, causing the Deadman to be counted out as well, leaving it to a tag team match. Try as they might, Itami and Balor couldn't handle the power of The Ascension, and Itami

Henry's Universe Mode #83: Survivor Series(Part 1)

Survival. It's what all beings strive for, what brings life and prosperity to the tribe. Survival by any means, by any method. To survive the worst is triumph, to rise above that which holds you back, the demons that haunt your soul. Survival is everything, and failure is unforgivable. When fantasy warfare becomes reality, who will survive the war that follows? An arrogant, cocky champion must survive the greatest test that he will ever face to walk out with the gold. Two brothers, locked in eternal conflict must direct their forces or face extinction. Enemies face off, champions will be crowned, and factions will go to war. Who will survive and who will fall? And now, Raw and SmackDown present............Survivor Series! Universe Mode Survivor Series November 27th, 2016 Location: Toronto, CA The Wyatt Family vs The Shield The Shield were a disjointed, dysfunctional mess heading into this match, with The Architect Seth Rollins desperately trying to
