American Alpha vs The Revival

Dash and Dawson declared that they are "Top Guys", going right after the best on SmackDown in the tag team champs. The Revival got a big chance to make an impact in this match, and they took full advantage. They dominated the majority of the match, with Gable and Jordan not looking like the unstoppable team they had been. Although Jordan's power did take Dash Wilder a bit off his game, he and Scott Dawson rallied, hitting a Shatter Machine on Gable to pick up a shocking, clean win over the champs.

Winners: The Revival

Cesaro vs Randy Orton Announced For Next Week

The Swiss Superman and the Viper have been constantly at odds, and SmackDown GM Daniel Bryan has had enough. Next week, Cesaro and Orton will meet for the final time, in a No Holds Barred Match. To ensure these two will finish their feud, Bryan worked out a deal with Raw GM Shane McMahon. The loser of this match will be traded to Raw, effective immediately.

Kane vs Big Show

These two giants had interacted in the ladder match last week, and faced off again here. Big Show went for the big KO Punch, but Kane dodged and connected on a chokeslam, and it was over, just like that.

After the match, the Big Red Machine was confronted by another giant, this time the unbeaten Braun Strowman. Braun didn't waste any time, unleashing with right hands and flattening the Big Red Machine with a running powerslam.

Winner: Kane

Paige(c) vs Alexa Bliss vs Emma- SmackDown Women's Title Match

The plan seemed to be for mentor and protege to work together to defeat Paige, but that plan fell apart immediately, as Alexa wanted the title for herself. As a result, it was every woman for herself, and all three went at it. Alexa controlled the early portion of the match, overwhelming the other two women with pure tenacity. Emma wasn't going to let her protege off that easily, though, and she and Alexa brawled while the champion looked on. Eventually, Emma and Alexa finished their brawl on the outside of the ring, with Emma standing tall. She re-entered the ring and was quickly caught with a RamPaige, and the Anti-Diva exited 2016, as dominant as ever.

Winner and still SmackDown Women's Champion: Paige

Triple H vs Shinsuke Nakamura- Royal Rumble Qualification Match

Both of these men looked eager to become the first SmackDown representative to qualify for the Royal Rumble. They gave it there all, going right at it from the ring of the bell. Nakamura's Strong Styles strikes wore Triple H down, but The Game had plenty of strikes in his arsenal, both men exchanging big blows. Nakamura struck first blood, literally, busting Triple H open with a Kinshasa, but The Game still fought on. Triple H looked for a Spinebuster, but Nakamura countered with a big DDT. Shinsuke went for a second Kinshasa, but ran right into an earth-shattering Spinebuster. Triple H booted Nakamura in the gut and emphatically connected on the Pedigree, but somehow Nakamura got his shoulder up before three. Triple H would walk right into a second Kinshasa, as the King of Strong Style punched his ticket to the Royal Rumble.

After the match, Triple H looked distraught. The SmackDown fans cheered his resilience, but you have to wonder if The Game blew his last shot.

Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura

Royal Rumble 2017 Info

The 2017 Royal Rumble will feature 15 Raw and 15 SmackDown Superstars, all competing for the right to headline Henry's Universe Mode's first Wrestlemania. The Royal Rumble will take place on Sunday, January 29th, 2017. We've already seen Samoa Joe of Raw and Shinsuke Nakamura of SmackDown qualify for the Rumble. Who else will be heading to the 30-man over the top rope extravaganza? And who will emerge victorious and begin the Road to Wrestlemania?

Tyson Kidd(c) vs Tyler Breeze- WWE Title Match

Prince Pretty showed no intention of mixing it up in the early going, refusing to take or give strikes and opting to pose instead. Kidd got fed up of Tyler Breeze's arrogance, taking it to the challenger and dominating Breeze. Breeze refused to lay down, and began exchanging offense in earnest, surprising Kidd and most of the SmackDown crowd, as he went toe to toe with the WWE Champion. Kidd's superior wrestling won out, and he managed to get the Dungeon Lock fully applied, but Breeze showed heart, fighting to the ropes to break the hold. He caught Tyson with an Unprettier, but couldn't put the champion away. Kidd hit a series of high-flying moves, including two springboard elbow drops, but nothing was able to put Breeze away. Near fall after near fall, Tyler Breeze displayed a side of himself that no one had seen before. Despite being mostly dominated, Breeze strung offense together and locked in a single leg Boston Crab, but it was foolish to attempt a submission hold on Tyson Kidd. Kidd fought his way back to his feet and dropped Breeze with a Code Blue, and it seemed all but over. At the last possible second, Breeze got his shoulder up, stunning Kidd. Breeze looked to take advantage, going for a Beauty Shot, which Tyson dodged, right into a Super Model Kick. Another big kick connected, and finally Breeze finished this flurry off with an Unprettier. Breeze, exhausted collapsed into the cover, as the official counted Tyson Kidd's shoulder to the mat. Stunned into silence, the SmackDown crowd looked on as the official handed Prince Pretty his new prize, completing an insane 7 day span, culminating in his first world title, won in a true Match of the Year contender.

Winner and the NEW WWE Champion: Tyler Breeze

Unbelievable. Tyler Breeze went from a floundering tag team to WWE Champion in a week, defeating Tyson Kidd in a ridiculously fantastic encounter. Anything can happen in Universe Mode, folks, and Tyler Breeze will enter 2017 as the face of SmackDown.

American Dad "Twinanigans" Review

It's been a while since the last Steve and Roger episode, and this week reminded me why that's such a classic American Dad pairing. This is a genuinely fun episode, filled with some great one liners and even a great callback to the show's past. "Twinanigans" centers around the heretofore unmentioned acting careers of Roger and Steve, who twinned it up as the Smith Brothers. I'm not going to question whether this backstory actually makes sense to the overall timeline; no one watches American Dad for continuity. Steve had to give up acting to attend kindergarten, and wants to give Roger a second chance at greatness. The two head to auditions, where Steve impresses and Roger blows it. It's here the episode kinda misfires, as it's never made abundantly clear why Roger struggles so much at acting. Is he just trying too hard, does he have some form of stage fright, does he not even know what acting is? This part of the story is just never explained, w...

Henry's Pay-Per-View Reviews: ECW Heatwave 1998

As the world collectively loses it's mind over the coronavirus(this could be a fun intro to look back on in the future), the only sanity that can be found is in the ring. Let's take a look today at what is often considered ECW's finest outing, Heatwave '98. - Jokes aside, everyone should stay safe out there. I know it's easy to panic about these mass outbreaks, and I've certainly felt very nervous about everything I've heard and read over the past week. But I think we all need some fun in our lives right now, and this show is the epitome of distraction. - The opening contest is one of the highlights of the night, as Jerry Lynn takes on Justin Credible. Credible has an entire entourage in his corner, including Chastity, Jason and Nicole Bass, and their involvement in this match at times bordered on excessive. But the match begins to hit it's peak when Lynn puts Credible through a table with a hurricanrana, and it's all fantastic from...

Henry's Universe Mode #205: SmackDown Live

Over the weekend, big news was broken by SmackDown GM Daniel Bryan, as he announced two title rematches for No Mercy. First up, Kenny Omega will defend his Intercontinental Championship against Randy Orton, and in the second, John Cena will look to make his first defense as WWE Champion against AJ Styles. Tonight on SmackDown Live, it's another Summerslam rematch in the main event, as Alexa Bliss defends against Emma. Can the Australian Sensation punch her ticket to No Mercy? Plus, Heath Slater takes on Aiden English, and the Phenomenal One, AJ Styles, is in singles action. Universe Mode SmackDown Live September 12th, 2017 Location: Dallas, TX Heath Slater vs Aiden English This was a big chance for momentum for both of these two men, as Slater was kicked out of the Social Outcasts a few months ago, while English's tag team partner, Simon Gotch, was recently released. Both of these men showed a lot of potential, and got the crowd invested on a couple of nea...
