Henry's Universe Mode #206: NXT

Welcome back to NXT. After being brushed aside last week by William Regal, Adam Cole has yet to receive word on the future of the NXT Championship. However, he has been given a match tonight, as he takes on the Man With a Plan, The Brian Kendrick. Also on this episode of NXT, it's tag team action, as the Hype Bros take on TM-61, with both fan favorite teams looking for much needed momentum. And in the main event, Nikki Cross puts her newly won NXT Women's Championship on the line against Natalya in her rematch. But will Cross enter alone?

Adam Cole vs The Brian Kendrick

This was a more frustrated and more aggressive version of Adam Cole then we had seen before, as he seemed intent on punishing Brian Kendrick than actually getting the win. Cole just grew more and more frustrated as the match went on and Kendrick continued to survive, but the Panama City Playboy would put matters to rest with a fireman's carry neckbreaker.

Winner: Adam Cole

Old Rivals Converge

After the match, Cole showed little to no emotion after picking up the win, instead demanding a mic. He called out William Regal, wanting to know what NXT's GM plans to do about the NXT Championship. He didn't get Regal, but instead it was Hideo Itami who answered the call. He agreed with his former rival, stating that he also wished to know what was happening with the brand's top championship, as he is still owed a rematch.

Hype Bros vs TM-61

These two teams did have one thing in common: they have both been victims of the NXT Tag Team Champions, the Authors of Pain. Both were looking for a huge boost of momentum, and early on, the Hype Bros were in control. Mojo and Zach used their power and veteran advantage to keep the pace at their level, wearing Nick Miller down. The tempo would change when Shane Thorne was tagged in, as the daredevil of the team made his mark. A big running uppercut in the corner on Ryder would set up Thorne's impressive sit-out last ride powerbomb.

Winners: TM-61

Nikki Cross(c) vs Natalya- NXT Women's Championship Match

Perhaps the biggest story heading into this championship was whether or not the champion would have back-up, and the answer was no. Nikki Cross was prepared to fight her own battle and defend her championship the right way, and that made her Full Sail's favorite in this match. There was no love lost from these two women, as they went at it in what was an incredible display. The best of both Nikki Cross and Natalya was showcased, as they went back and forth. Cross looked multiple times to take big chances, but she continued to pay for it, with one missed chance even resulting in the Sharpshooter being locked in. But the champion continued to fight on, escaping the first and the second submission attempt by Natalya. The Queen of Harts began to grow frustrated and this time would not be quick enough to escape the barbaric Cross, who scored with a suicide dive. She rolled Natlaya back into the ring for the snap fisherman neckbreaker, and the challenger was out. The official counted once, twice, but Natalya got the shoulder out! The daughter of The Anvil tried to rally, and put it all on the line with a top rope splash. Cross just managed to roll out of the way, and rolled up Natalya to retain in a top quality match.

Winner and still NXT Women's Champion: Nikki Cross

Iconic Cowardice

It was an incredible display in NXT's main event, and the crowd saluted both performers with a standing ovation. Cross posed in the ring with her title, when Peyton Royce and Billie Kay slid into the ring. The Iconic Duo took out the champion, and for good measure, Natalya as well, ending the show standing tall.

South Park "Not Funny" Review

Good night, amateur trolls that trolled a troll and trolled themselves into a troll, brothers. With one episode to go in the season, South Park has remained consistently funny and on-point with their humor, though I worry about how their going to wrap all of this up. There are a good six to seven ongoing storylines right now, and only one episode to finish off a few of them. There was no clear focus this week, but I'll start where the episode ended, with Gerald's troll-based storyline. It's pretty satisfying to see the Troll Hunter's massive revelation; that he is, in fact, just another troll, bent on world destruction. Even Gerald couldn't find the humor in his master plan, as the Troll Hunter is truly in a league of his own. With the world on the brink of war, the trolling has truly begun, as the Troll Hunter went to work on his own employees and the other trolls, though why they had to be naked for that is beyond me. Kyle is always a sucker for saving the ...
