Sami Zayn and Adrian Neville vs Balor Club

Summary:
We opened up the first NXT of May with American Alpha in action against Blake and Murphy. With a dominant win by the tag champs Enzo and Cass last week, each team was looking to find their footing. American Alpha started strong with some good tag work, but Blake and Murphy have experience on their side, and quickly regained some momentum with a few big power slams. American Alpha were too much, though, and a tiger suplex from Gable was enough to earn a simple win. Paige, the new NXT Women's champion was scheduled to face Alexa Bliss, but didn't make it to the ring. as the former NXT Women's champ, Bayley, jumped her from behind. Bayley was incredibly upset after losing her belt last week, and took that out on the Anti-Diva, hitting a Bayley to Belly before officials could seperate the two. With Bayley still owed a rematch, the rivalry between these two women is likely far from over.

The first of our three big matches saw the introduction of the brand new NXT Television Title, as Baron Corbin and Hideo Itami competed to crown the new champion. Both men lost their matches last week, and would be looking for some redemption. Corbin looked to use his strength and power, while Hideo's main strength is this match was his striking, which gained him the early advantage. Corbin turned the match around using his power, hitting Itami with some big punches that scored him a near fall. A counter of suplex saw Hideo successfully hit the GTS, but Hideo forgot to hook a leg on the pinfall, as Corbin powered out. A Falcon Arrow connected for Corbin, but Hideo kipped up, frustrating Corbin, who knocked him right back down with a straight right. The Lone Wolf then went for the End of Days, but Hideo countered into a neckbreaker for a 2 count. Corbin would hit a big superplex, but he forgot to hook a leg, only getting 2. The match continued on, with each man looking for the one big move to seal the deal, Corbin getting close on a lifting powerbomb, Itami coming close on a tiger suplex. The end came when Itami went for the GTS again, but exhausted, couldn't lift Corbin, who hit another Falcon Arrow and another End of Days to become the first NXT Television Champion. Shinsuke Nakamura, who had several victories on Smackdown, made his NXT debut against Samoa Joe in our next match. It was a hard hitting physical affair, with a lot of suplexes and submission holds being traded both ways. Nakamura hit a Samoan Driver, but Joe kicked out, looking offended. Joe nearly stole the match with a roll up, but Nakamura got his hand on the bottom rope. A Package Piledriver from Shinsuke earned him a 2 count, and a Chimera-plex from Joe earned him a 2 count. A snap suplex from Nakamura got him an opening, and he took advantage, hitting the Kinshasa Knee, but Joe somehow kicked out. Joe continued to fight, and nearly ended it with a sleeper, but Nakamura rolled through and hit another Package Piledriver for the victory. Main event time, as best friends Sami Zayn and Adrian Neville teamed up to take on the newly debuted Balor Club. Sami and Adrian were ready from the get go, trying to put away the new guys quickly, but the strength of Anderson and Gallows prevented it. The Balor Club isolated Sami, working him down in their corner, but Sami fought back, getting a tag to Neville, who was ready to fly. He knocked down Anderson and hit a standing moonsault that got a 2 count. Anderson was unable to make the tag, but Neville did, tagging in Sami who hit an exploder suplex and followed it up with a Blue Thunder Bomb, but was in the Balor Club's corner, so Gallows broke it up. Sami was undettered, sending Anderson to the outside and connecting on the awesome Torpedo DDT. Anderson finally tagged out, and Gallows began to man handle Sami. A good dive to the outside by Neville gave Sami a reprieve, and he hit another Blue Thunder Bomb on Gallows, who kicked out. Anderson tagged back in, working on Neville, who turned the tides and hit a sunset flip to the outside, following it up with a huge diving leg drop that brought the crowd to their feet. The Balor Club would gain momentum again through an incredible tag team move, a piledriver into a suplex. Anderson went for the pin and had Neville beat, but Zayn broke it up. Anderson then, as a middle finger to Zayn, hit a Torpedo DDT of his own. The end came when Neville reversed a kick in the corner, knocking Anderson down with a top rope frankensteiner. He then staggered back up to the top rope to hit the Red Arrow, and Zayn hit the Helluva Kick to knock Gallows off the apron as Neville pinned Anderson for the win.

Easily the best episode in the series thus far, NXT has delivered a masterpiece of a show. Corbin-Itami was surprisingly good, Nakamura and Joe went to war, and the tag team main event was the most action packed match I've ever seen in 2k16. What a night. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did, and I'll see you again soon.

South Park "Not Funny" Review

Good night, amateur trolls that trolled a troll and trolled themselves into a troll, brothers. With one episode to go in the season, South Park has remained consistently funny and on-point with their humor, though I worry about how their going to wrap all of this up. There are a good six to seven ongoing storylines right now, and only one episode to finish off a few of them. There was no clear focus this week, but I'll start where the episode ended, with Gerald's troll-based storyline. It's pretty satisfying to see the Troll Hunter's massive revelation; that he is, in fact, just another troll, bent on world destruction. Even Gerald couldn't find the humor in his master plan, as the Troll Hunter is truly in a league of his own. With the world on the brink of war, the trolling has truly begun, as the Troll Hunter went to work on his own employees and the other trolls, though why they had to be naked for that is beyond me. Kyle is always a sucker for saving the ...
