The KO & Sami Show(c) vs Rusev Day- SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match

With the crowd in their corner, Rusev and Aiden English brought the fight to the tag team champions. But after with standing the opening salvo, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn swung the tide. Owens hit English with a Pop-Up Powerbomb on the floor, which Zayn followed up with a Helluva Kick in the ring. Owens held off Rusev as the three count was made, as the champions survived another defense.

Winners and still SmackDown Tag Team Champions: The KO & Sami Show

Jeff Hardy vs Ricochet

Both of these daredevils took plenty of chances, putting on a showcase for the fans in attendance. It was Ricochet who got the win with the 630 senton, booking himself an Intercontinental Championship match at Summerslam.

Winner: Ricochet

Asuka(c) vs Billie Kay vs Peyton Royce- SmackDown Women's Championship Match

Once again, in-fighting between the IIconics cost them both a big opportunity. Peyton Royce took out her own partner with a big boot, only to be caught with an Asuka Lock, quickly tapping out as Asuka again retained her championship.

Winner and still SmackDown Women's Champion: Asuka

Bray Wyatt vs Bludgeon Brothers

Harper and Rowan had a point to prove here tonight, and despite everything he threw at them, Bray Wyatt was ultimately helpless against his former disciples. The former World Heavyweight Champion would fall to The Bludgeoning, and it's certainly clear that the Bludgeon Brothers are more dangerous than ever before.

Winners: Bludgeon Brothers

Bobby Roode vs Daniel Bryan- Two out of Three Falls Match

Bobby Roode scored the first fall early, countering an attempt at the LaBell Lock into a small package that just barely got a three count. The Glorious One didn't hold the lead for long, as Daniel Bryan rallied, this time getting the LaBell applied and forcing a quick tap out. With the score even, both men let loose with big shots, Bryan taking the worst of it, wearing a crimson mask. But with a trip to Summerslam at stake, the American Dragon unleashed a vicious roundhouse kick, following up with the running knee to finally put Roode away.

Winner: Daniel Bryan

Finn Balor(c) vs AJ Styles- Intercontinental Championship Match

It was an explosive start to this match, as champion and challenger were moving at lightning speed. But after AJ Styles was sent to the floor, Finn Balor took control, delivering a brutal Bloody Sunday on the outside. Balor wanted a count-out, but Styles was able to re-enter the ring, though Balor still controlled the match. AJ fought on, managing to counter Finn's attempted Coup de Grace, and hitting a Phenomenal Forearm! After only getting two, Styles began to work the leg, looking to apply the Calf Crusher. But Balor countered with a stiff elbow to the face, then two consecutive dropkicks to the corner. Once again, Balor went for the Coup de Grace, and once again, he missed. AJ looked for a Styles Clash, but with incredible instincts, Balor rolled through and hit another dropkick. For a third time, he measured for the Coup de Grace..........and hit it! The three count was made, as with no outside help, Finn Balor retained his championship.

Winner and still Intercontinental Champion: Finn Balor

Drew McIntyre(c) vs Rey Mysterio- WWE Championship Match

It wasn't a great start for Rey Mysterio in this championship match, as Drew McIntyre pummeled the challenger early. But with years of experience and plenty of heart, Mysterio wasn't going down easy, as he fought back into the match. After surviving a Claymore Kick, Rey went on the attack, connecting on a 619 and looking to end the match. But Mysterio's attempt at a Dragonrana was countered with a stiff powerbomb. McIntyre had had enough, beating on his opponent so much the official had to step in, fearing lasting damage. But Rey pulled himself to his feet and kept going. The challenger looked once more a 619, and connected yet again! But before Mysterio could put the match away, McIntyre shocked everyone, kipping up to his feet! The Scottish Psychopath saved his best trick for last, and finally managed to put Mysterio down with the Future Shock.

Winner and still WWE Champion: Drew McIntyre

Post-Match

As Drew McIntyre raised his championship high, out came Daniel Bryan! As the "YES!" chants rained down, the new number one contender stared down at the man whom he will face at Summerslam.

American Dad "Twinanigans" Review

It's been a while since the last Steve and Roger episode, and this week reminded me why that's such a classic American Dad pairing. This is a genuinely fun episode, filled with some great one liners and even a great callback to the show's past. "Twinanigans" centers around the heretofore unmentioned acting careers of Roger and Steve, who twinned it up as the Smith Brothers. I'm not going to question whether this backstory actually makes sense to the overall timeline; no one watches American Dad for continuity. Steve had to give up acting to attend kindergarten, and wants to give Roger a second chance at greatness. The two head to auditions, where Steve impresses and Roger blows it. It's here the episode kinda misfires, as it's never made abundantly clear why Roger struggles so much at acting. Is he just trying too hard, does he have some form of stage fright, does he not even know what acting is? This part of the story is just never explained, w...

Henry's Pay-Per-View Reviews: ECW Heatwave 1998

As the world collectively loses it's mind over the coronavirus(this could be a fun intro to look back on in the future), the only sanity that can be found is in the ring. Let's take a look today at what is often considered ECW's finest outing, Heatwave '98. - Jokes aside, everyone should stay safe out there. I know it's easy to panic about these mass outbreaks, and I've certainly felt very nervous about everything I've heard and read over the past week. But I think we all need some fun in our lives right now, and this show is the epitome of distraction. - The opening contest is one of the highlights of the night, as Jerry Lynn takes on Justin Credible. Credible has an entire entourage in his corner, including Chastity, Jason and Nicole Bass, and their involvement in this match at times bordered on excessive. But the match begins to hit it's peak when Lynn puts Credible through a table with a hurricanrana, and it's all fantastic from...

Henry's Universe Mode #205: SmackDown Live

Over the weekend, big news was broken by SmackDown GM Daniel Bryan, as he announced two title rematches for No Mercy. First up, Kenny Omega will defend his Intercontinental Championship against Randy Orton, and in the second, John Cena will look to make his first defense as WWE Champion against AJ Styles. Tonight on SmackDown Live, it's another Summerslam rematch in the main event, as Alexa Bliss defends against Emma. Can the Australian Sensation punch her ticket to No Mercy? Plus, Heath Slater takes on Aiden English, and the Phenomenal One, AJ Styles, is in singles action. Universe Mode SmackDown Live September 12th, 2017 Location: Dallas, TX Heath Slater vs Aiden English This was a big chance for momentum for both of these two men, as Slater was kicked out of the Social Outcasts a few months ago, while English's tag team partner, Simon Gotch, was recently released. Both of these men showed a lot of potential, and got the crowd invested on a couple of nea...
