Asuka Addressed Her Survivor Series Loss
We opened the return of Raw with the Empress of Tomorrow, Asuka, who came up short against Bayley to be crowned the first Raw Women's Champion. Asuka minced no words; she accepted her defeat and acknowledged that Bayley had been the better wrestlers. She was interrupted by The Boss, Sasha Banks, who made her way to the ring among a cascade of boos. Sasha quickly went on the offensive, claiming that her actions at Survivor Series were completely justified. She was just trying to make Bayley see the bigger picture; to survive in the WWE, you need to be willing to be cold-blooded. Asuka refused to back down, challenging Sasha to back up her words in a match between the two, but The Boss turned her down, saying that this was no time for fighting. Later in the show, however, GM Shane McMahon granted Asuka's request for a match, as the two will go one-on-one next week on Raw.
Enzo and Big Cass vs Hideo Itami and Finn Balor
This was a big opportunity for Enzo and Cass as they took on the World Tag Team Champions. To make sure of victory, the Certified Gs brought back-up in the newest member of the Raw roster, Carmella. Hideo and Finn made a point of isolating Enzo, and that strategy worked very well, as they got several near-falls. Once Enzo made the tag, Cass was able to use his power to get his team back into it, but Hideo and Finn were still fresh. A wicked combination of strikes from Hideo finally wore the big man down, and Enzo was too exhausted to make the save. They may not have been successful at Survivor Series, but Hideo and Finn roll on on Monday Nights.
Winners: Hideo Itami and Finn Balor
Eva Marie vs Nikki Bella
All Red Everything continued to search for a signature win, and looked for it in a rematch with Nikki Bella, after Eva walked out of their singles match in the Raw Women's Title tournament. Both women went at it right away, looking to settle unfinished issues. A big forearm smash from Nikki came close to a 3 count, and Eva got close on a Sliced Red as well. They brawled to the outside, ignoring the referee's count. It became pretty clear that there wasn't going to be a definitive winner on this night, as both women fought to a double count-out.

Seth Rollins Addressed the WWE Universe
Following the disastrous loss suffered by the Shield at Survivor Series, the Architect looked to address the problems between Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns. Instead, Rollins talked about his favorite subject: himself. He claimed that the Shield had been reformed by him, for him, to get him to the top of the card. He proclaimed that the Shield is dead, and without that burden to hold him back, Seth Rollins will take over Raw. He then insulted the Long Island fans for a little while before walking back up the ramp, leaving more questions than answers.
The New Day vs The Wyatt Family
This was a big tag team match, pitting Big E and Kofi of the New Day against Harper and Rowan of the Wyatts. Harper and Rowan controlled the match early, using their power to wear down both Big E and Kofi. The New Day, though, have heart and the power of positivity, and they fought their way back into the match, using big maneuvers, including the Unicorn Stampede. A Big E diving spear on Rowan set up the New Day to connect on the Midnight Hour, as Kofi hit the move and cleared Harper off the apron in one frenzy. A three count later and the New Day had put themselves back in the title hunt, as Bray Wyatt looked furious on the outside.
Winners: The New Day
Mark Henry vs Chris Jericho
Mark Henry has been on a roll since he opened the Hall of Pain, inducting Zack Ryder and Jack Swagger and picking up big wins. He looked to induct Y2J in this encounter, jumping Jericho before the match could begin. Although Jericho put up a good fight, the World's Strongest Man dominated, taking out Jericho with some serious power. Once he had worn down Jericho, Henry delivered the finishing blow we had seen before, smashing Jericho through the barricade and inducting him to the Hall of Pain. Mark Henry continued his momentum, raising the question of who could possibly stop him.
Winner: Mark Henry
Goldberg(c) vs Kevin Owens- World Heavyweight Title Match
We moved on to the main event, with Raw's richest prize on the line. Kevin Owens picked up a win over the former champ Brock Lesnar before Survivor Series thanks to Goldberg, and so Raw GM Shane McMahon offered him this big opportunity. Goldberg was raring to go, and quickly took control of the match. Owens had to roll to the outside, but the champ was still all over him, and KO looked to be in serious trouble. Mind games helped get him back into the match, and allowed him to connect on a Pop-Up Powerbomb for a two count. Frustrated, Owens looked to put Goldberg away, smashing him through the announce table with a Package Piledriver. Still, Goldberg fought on, and Owens grew more and more furious. A KO Cannonball into a second Pop-Up Powerbomb seemed to have crowned a dual champion, but Goldberg once more found the strength to kick out. Seemingly out of options, Owens climbed to the top rope, looking for a Frog Splash. Goldberg still had fight left, and caught Owens in mid-air with a Spear, before dropping him with a devastating Jackhammer. Goldberg lived to fight on, though only just, as Kevin Owens took him to his absolute limit.
Winner and still World Heavyweight Champion: Goldberg
