Earlier today, it was announced that the next Universe Mode pay-per-view, Armageddon, will be taking place this Sunday, the 18th. Armageddon will be a dual-branded show, featuring both Raw and SmackDown. Following this announcement, Raw GM Shane McMahon booked the first match for Armageddon, as Hideo Itami and Finn Balor will defend their World Tag Team Titles against the New Day.
Tonight, with Armageddon approaching, the former champ Brock Lesnar is in the house. What does the Beast Incarnate have in store? Tonight is also the return of the Deadman, The Undertaker, as he will make his first appearance since his team's loss at Survivor Series when he takes on Chris Jericho. In the main event, Asuka will face the Legit Boss, Sasha Banks, and Shane McMahon has offered the winner a title shot against the Raw Women's Champion Bayley this Sunday. The New Day, Enzo and Big Cass and more are in action as we prepare for Armageddon.

Roman Reigns Addressed Seth Rollins
Last week, we saw Seth Rollins denounce the Shield, and say that he was moving on to singles glory. However, Roman Reigns had something to say about that. Reigns made his mission quite clear: he promised to do whatever possible to knock Rollins off his perch. That brought out Dean Ambrose, and the two men, so often at each other's throats, had a quick staredown. However, Ambrose was here to back Reigns up, and agreed that Rollins needed a wake-up call. The two men shook hands, before Ambrose delivered one last warning; he will work with Reigns, but should Roman ever cross him, he won't live long enough to regret it.
The Undertaker vs Chris Jericho
Jericho was looking for a signature win, but the Deadman was on another level, and Y2J simply couldn't keep up. Jericho survived a chokeslam, but that only seemed to anger The Undertaker, who dispatched of Jericho with a Tombstone Piledriver.
After the match, The Undertaker celebrated his victory with his signature pose when the lights went out. When they came back on, SmackDown's Kane had dismantled his brother with his own chokeslam, sending a message that the Big Red Machine is not ready to let this rivalry go just yet.
Winner: The Undertaker
Nikki Bella Called Out Eva Marie
The Fearless One minced no words, demanding that Eva Marie face her in the ring. The Red Queen obliged, and then two women then had an exchange of words. Eva insisted that she deserved one more match with Nikki, who wasn't going to back down. Nikki accepted Eva's request, vowing to be rid of her once and for all. Shane McMahon made the match official later- it will be Nikki Bella vs Eva Marie next week on Raw, but this time it will be a Falls Count Anywhere Match, to determine a true winner.
Rusev vs Sin Cara
The Bulgarian Brute had been unstoppable since his reconciliation with his wife, Lana, and looked to continue that roll against Sin Cara, who was accompanied to the ring by his tag team partner, Kalisto. Sin Cara looked good early on, catching Rusev by surprise and taking the bigger man off his feet. The offensive advantage didn't last long, as Lana interjected herself into the match to turn the tide in her husband's favor. He couldn't put the resilient Sin Cara away, though, and resorted to taking the match to the outside, using the environment to his advantage. The Bulgarian Brute took the easy way out, leaving an unconscious Sin Cara on the outside to be counted out, and earn him another win, albeit no the most dominant of victories.
Winner: Rusev
The Beast Made His Presence Felt
The World Heavyweight Champion Goldberg was scheduled to address Brock Lesnar, but the Beast Incarnate beat him to the punch, literally, jumping him backstage. The champ tried to fight him off, but was decimated by the Beast Incarnate. Lesnar finished his assault with a devastating F-5 through a nearby table, laying out the champion. Officials separated the two, and later in the night, Shane McMahon announced that Goldberg had demanded another shot at Brock Lesnar; this time, in a tables match, and he agreed to put the World Heavyweight Title on the line once again.
Enzo and Big Cass vs The New Day
Enzo and Cass looked to get back into the title picture, but ran up against a wall in the number one contenders. The New Day used very effective strategy, wearing down Enzo while Cass could only look on, growing increasingly desperate. Despite Enzo's best attempts, he couldn't get back into it, and a Midnight Hour spelled another loss for the Certified G's. On the other side of the coin, the New Day continued to pick up momentum, and could be closing in on another tag title reign.
Winners: The New Day
Asuka vs Sasha Banks- #1 Contender's Match for the Raw Women's Title
Neither woman waited to get going, as a brawl immediately ensued. It became pretty clear that Sasha, despite her tremendous skill, was vastly over-matched, and the Boss was quickly forced to regroup. She began to play mind games with Asuka, and it worked, as Sasha managed to lock in the Bank Statement. Asuka refused to tap, and Sasha took things to an even more extreme measure, delivering her signature double knee drop to Asuka from the top rope. Still, the Empress of Tomorrow refused to quite, driving Sasha apoplectic with rage. She retrieved a steel chair, intending to bash Asuka in the head with it, but the official was having none of it, taking the chair away. Sasha got into a shouting match with the referee, failing to notice Asuka stirring until it was too late and the Asuka Lock was cinched in. Sasha showed resilience, refusing to tap and rolling Asuka into a small package, grabbing one on Asuka's knee pads for extra leverage. The Boss stole one here on Raw, getting her long-awaited shot at the Raw Women's Title.
No sooner had the match finished that the champion herself arrived. Bayley rushed down to the ring and unloaded on her former friend with rights and lefts as the crowd roared in approval. A big dropkick and a Bayley-to-Belly for good measure completely laid Sasha out. The Raw Women's Champion stood tall to end the show, and will have the opportunity to get some revenge on Sunday, when she and Sasha go one-on-one.
Winner: Sasha Banks
That's it for Raw. Stay tuned for SmackDown tomorrow, where the final matches will be set for Armageddon this Sunday.
