Henry's Universe Mode #141: WrestleMania(Part 3)

Welcome to the third and final part of WrestleMania. We will see the Intercontinental Title defended, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens' Last Man Standing Match, and two massive world title matches.

Randy Orton(c) vs Braun Strowman vs Tyson Kidd- Intercontinental Title Match

Right after the bell rung, the Intercontinental Champion rolled out of the ring, and dutifully, Braun Strowman went to work on Tyson Kidd. Even when Tyson got anything going against the monstrous Braun, Orton re-entered the ring to stop any comeback attempt. Strowman decimated Tyson with a Running Powerslam, and Orton then entered the ring, looking for the pin. But Braun was having none of it, and belted Randy with a vicious right hand, much to the delight of the crowd. Strowman beat the hell out of the Viper, who was ironically saved by the return of Tyson Kidd. He and Tyson went after Braun as a team, and took the big man out with a double superplex. The Viper then struck, catching Tyson with a RKO at the most opportune time to escape with his title.

Winner and still Intercontinental Champion: Randy Orton

Sami Zayn vs Kevin Owens- Last Man Standing Match

This was easily the most personal match on the card, two former best friends turned bitter enemies going at it one last time. It was no mistake that this was another instant classic, as these two men tore the house down. Sami showcased his incredible offense, taking to the skies to rally the crowd, while Owens was more focused on getting the win and dealing as much damage as possible. Sami got off to a great start, but KO quickly took control. Time and time again, the Underdog from the Underground rose to his feet, beating the count over and over again. A frustrated Owens even connected with a Pop-Up Powerbomb, but Sami rose at a 9 count. It seemed like the will of Sami Zayn on this night was too much for even Kevin Owens to handle, and Sami took control after a tremendous moonsault to put Owens through the announce table. It could've been over there, but Sami dragged KO into the ring and hit him with a corner exploder suplex, then followed up with a Helluva Kick. Even that wasn't enough, as Sami lifted an unconscious Owens to his feet, took a deep breath, and connected on a second Helluva Kick. After the ten count was made, Sami collapsed to his knees, spent but immeasurably pleased with a great night's work.

Winner: Sami Zayn

AJ Styles(c) vs Shawn Michaels- WWE Title Match

A headliner anywhere in the world, this dream match tore the house down, and provided yet another match of the year candidate. From start to finish AJ and HBK put on a show, and made sure to put most of their bad blood behind them. Each pulled off all of their signature moves, AJ nailing a beautiful float-over DDT, Shawn countering with a moonsault, AJ connecting with a frog splash. The Phenomenal One and the Heart-Break Kid left it all in the ring. When Michaels looked for a Sweet Chin Music, Styles dodged the devastating kick, and then shocked everyone by hitting one of his own. AJ then took control of the match, looking for a Phenomenal Forearm and leaping right into a Sweet Chin Music that brought the crowd to their feet. AJ connected with a Styles Clash, then another, and somehow HBK got the shoulder up. On and one they went, without any end in sight. AJ then hit another Phenomenal Forearm, just to watch Shawn pull off another ridiculous kick-out. The match reached a crescendo when both men connected on superkicks. AJ was first to his feet, and hit a third Styles Clash to defend his title.

After the match, the two combatants stared down. AJ then left the ring with a look of disgust, while Shawn stood in the ring all by himself, soaking up the cheers of the crowd.

Winner and still WWE Champion: AJ Styles

Goldberg(c) vs Samoa Joe- No Holds Barred Match for the World Heavyweight Title

As much as the previous match was a technical masterpiece, this was the exact opposite. This was a fight, a fight neither man intended to lose. Neither Joe nor Goldberg even bothered spending much time in the ring, instead brawling around the ringside area, using any weapon in sight. Both men were busted open, the champion off of a steel chair shot and Joe after a Jackhammer on the floor. Joe got his revenge when he put Goldberg through a table with a german suplex. Not finished, he then put the World Heavyweight Champion through the makeshift announce table with a Samoan Driver. Goldberg looked to be unconscious, but when Joe rolled him into the ring and went for the cover, he got the shoulder up at two. The Samoan Submission Machine then ate a Spear and it appeared to be curtains. When Goldberg went for the Jackhammer to put it away, Joe countered by grabbing a kendo stick and bashing him in the head with it. He then locked in a Coquina Clutch, right in the center of the ring. With blood streaming down his face, Goldberg was valiant until the end, choosing to pass out instead of tap. Samoa Joe lifted aloft the World Heavyweight Title to close the show, crowning himself the Ultimate Destroyer.

Winner and the NEW World Heavyweight Champion: Samoa Joe

That was a marathon of a show. I'm not sure how WWE runs one of these things every year, because that took a hell of a lot of effort. I'm very happy with the final result, and I hope you guys appreciate the amount of detail I went into for every match. I'll have an announcement up soon about the future of Universe Mode, so stay tuned for that. I hope you've enjoyed WrestleMania. This is Henry, signing off.

Henry's Universe Mode #231: WrestleMania II (Part 3)

Finn Balor vs The Undertaker Finn Balor felt the full force of the strikes of The Undertaker in the early going, eating rights and lefts to the skull. The Undertaker continued to lay into Balor, dumping him to the floor with a clothesline, then following up with his vintage suicide dive! After a brief skirmish on the outside, the Deadman got destructive, grabbing the Demon's throat and driving him through the announce table with a chokeslam! It was here that The Undertaker allowed Finn Balor a chance to just give up and concede defeat, but Balor wasn't having any of it. Finn got his second wind, countering an attempted chokeslam to connect with a reverse DDT, then the shotgun dropkick in the corner. Up top, Finn connected with Coup de Grace! 1........................2.......................but it's going to take a lot more to put The Undertaker away, especially at WrestleMania. Balor laid in some shots, busting The Undertaker open, but that proved to be a huge mistake. ...

American Dad "Stompe Le Monde" Review

You know, I once tried to make it in musical theater. If only I had watched this episode beforehand, I would've known I needed a leather jacket to truly make it. Alas, those dreams are for a more pretentious soul than mine. "Stompe Le Monde" is a wild episode of American Dad, one that starts with Stan's previously unknown uncle dying and ends with wanton destruction of many Sonic Drive-Ins. It's a crazy a journey as it sounds, one that left me just struggling to keep up. The family to use the new inheritance to travel to New York City, but Stan quickly blows the money on the rights to Stomp, which is apparently a real musical. The whole town of Langley is very excited to see the new show, but Stan has no idea what he's doing, never once hiring a director or even rehearsing. Why this only came up literally minutes before opening is anyone's guess. The Smith Family is forced to go on the run, and are attacked by many ferocious coyotes off-screen. In ye...

American Dad "The Hand that Rocks the Rogu" Review

American Dad as a show is definitely not afraid to get a little freaky, and nothing is more evident than the existence of Rogu, Roger's tumor that became a character himself in "Persona Assistant". Rogu primarily works as a character because he stays in the background, but this week, he takes a starring role in one of the weirdest American Dad episodes to date. "The Hand that Rocks the Rogu" has little in the way of traditional plot structure, and can only barely be considered an episode at all. It's more a collection of funny and bizarre skits, with a few running plot points that end up forming some sort of resolution. Steve wants to become a babysitter, but Francine says he's not ready, so he needs to prove himself to her. He does that by taking care of Rogu, as Roger is off for a night of NSFW activities. Steve is instructed not to let Rogu have candy or screentime, but violates both rules almost immediately. It turns out that Rogu multiplies w...
