This is a pretty unpredictable pay-per-view, with a decent card around it. Extreme Rules pay-per-views generally rely on their gimmick matches, and there's some potential between the steel cage match and the main event.
Raw Tag Team Championship Match- The Hardy Boyz vs Cesaro and Sheamus
My Prediction: My boys need those belts
I didn't think I could possibly like Cesaro and Sheamus as a team any more, and then they turned heel. In my opinion, they're easily one of the best teams on the main roster. Jeff and Matt, on the other hand, have yet to really impress in their return. A loss here could help build their characters beyond just being the champions.
Cruiserweight Championship Match- Neville vs Austin Aries
My Prediction: The King is dethroned
I feel like this pay-per-view can be used as a way to do a mini-refresh on the Raw brand, and this is certainly a feud that could use a title change. Try as you might, you can't convince me that the submission specialist wouldn't be the favorite in a submission match.
Rich Swann and Sasha Banks vs Noam Dar and Alicia Fox
My Prediction: Rich Swann and Sasha Banks
I don't think this match is a bad idea by any means. It's good to incorporate the cruiserweights into more aspects of Raw, and I think this could be fun.
Raw Women's Championship Match- Alexa Bliss vs Bayley
My Prediction: Vince Russo, is that you?
Other than a bit of a wacky stipulation, there's not much to this match. With Sasha likely next in line, Alexa almost certainly retains here, possibly through some chicanery.
Intercontinental Championship Match- Dean Ambrose vs The Miz
My Prediction: Strike up the band, the World Tour is back in town
The last time I remember a stipulation like this, it was in 2011 with Christian and Randy Orton. That wasn't very good, but I do think this might be. Miz never wins matches or championships clean, so I imagine he cheats to win, maybe by getting Elias Samson to attack him.
Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins vs Finn Balor vs Bray Wyatt vs Samoa Joe
My Prediction: Sorry Seth
If you look at this match logically, there's only so many options to chose from. Finn and Bray are just starting their feud, which has some legs, so I'll cross them off. Reigns will likely be busy with Strowman when he comes back, so I'll remove him. That leaves us with Seth and Joe, who could easily finish their feud on Raw. Both men could use character development in a match with Brock, and they could both be fine while taking a loss. Really, it's just a flip of a coin, but I like Seth more, so I'll give him the honor of getting murdered by Brock.
That's it for now. Tune in tomorrow for my version of Extreme Rules, and enjoy the show!
