The Dog League: 2018 Draft(Part 3)

We've seen Ridiculous Rascals and Tug of War meet twice now in the Dog League Championship, with Tug of War coming out on top both times. Is a third meeting on the cards? Let's check out their new rosters in my final post covering the 2018 Dog League Draft. (Reminder: the Dog League is a custom fantasy football league run on NFL.com)

Ridiculous Rascals

14th Round, 80th Overall- RB Marshawn Lynch(Grade: B)
15th Round, 89th Overall- TE Jack Doyle(Grade: C+)

Summary:

Whether or not this team has a true superstar is up for debate, but regardless, Ridiculous Rascals has formed a well rounded roster. The running back corps sees Melvin Gordon and Christian McCaffrey return for another year, while the consistently excellent LeSean McCoy provides great value in the third round. Tyreek Hill is another returning player, and he'll partner up with top pick Antonio Brown to form an incredibly speedy duo. Yet again, we see a team trying to make a quarterback connection work, as Aaron Rodgers will pair up with new tight end Jimmy Graham. The bench lacks a lot to be desired, as Joe Mixon and Derrick Henry are far from established, while Jarvis Landry and Michael Crabtree are on new teams. Perhaps the most intriguing player is the returning Marshawn Lynch, who has fallen a long way in one year.

Tug of War

1st Round, 6th Overall- RB Alvin Kamara(Grade: B+)
2nd Round, 7th Overall- RB Saquon Barkley(Grade: B-)
3rd Round, 18th Overall- RB Devonta Freeman(Grade: B)
4th Round, 19th Overall- WR A.J. Green(Grade: B+)
5th Round, 30th Overall- WR Doug Baldwin(Grade: B)
6th Round, 31st Overall- TE Zach Ertz(Grade: B+)
7th Round, 42nd Overall- QB Kirk Cousins(Grade: C+)
8th Round, 43rd Overall- DEF Jacksonville Jaguars(Grade: A)
9th Round, 54th Overall- K Chris Boswell(Grade: B-)
10th Round, 55th Overall- RB Jordan Howard(Grade: B-)
11th Round, 66th Overall- RB Lamar Miller(Grade: B+)
12th Round, 67th Overall- RB Jay Ajayi(Grade: B)
13th Round, 78th Overall- WR Chris Hogan(Grade: B+)
14th Round, 79th Overall- WR Brandin Cooks(Grade: C)
15th Round, 90th Overall- QB Matthew Stafford(Grade: B)

Summary:

How do they keep doing it? Somehow, someway, two time regular season and Dog League champions Tug of War have assembled the most talented roster yet again. At the top, young running backs Alvin Kamara and Saquon Barkley will look to form the next great running back duo, and they'll get help from the returning Devonta Freeman, now in his third year on the team. Tug of War went for experience in the starting wide receivers, selecting Doug Baldwin and the returning A.J. Green. The only real miss on this team is starting quarterback Kirk Cousins, who will have to fit in quickly in Minnesota if he wants to keep his job. The runningbacks on the bench look quality as well, as any of the trio of Jordan Howard, Lamar Miller or Jay Ajayi could fill in admirably. Overall, this is a team that looks ready to make a run for the three peat.

Will Tug of War and Ridiculous Rascals meet again in the championship game? Will either of the new expansion teams make the playoffs? Can Leaping Girl stay healthy long enough to finally get out of last place? The third season of Dog League action has officially begun.

South Park "Not Funny" Review

Good night, amateur trolls that trolled a troll and trolled themselves into a troll, brothers. With one episode to go in the season, South Park has remained consistently funny and on-point with their humor, though I worry about how their going to wrap all of this up. There are a good six to seven ongoing storylines right now, and only one episode to finish off a few of them. There was no clear focus this week, but I'll start where the episode ended, with Gerald's troll-based storyline. It's pretty satisfying to see the Troll Hunter's massive revelation; that he is, in fact, just another troll, bent on world destruction. Even Gerald couldn't find the humor in his master plan, as the Troll Hunter is truly in a league of his own. With the world on the brink of war, the trolling has truly begun, as the Troll Hunter went to work on his own employees and the other trolls, though why they had to be naked for that is beyond me. Kyle is always a sucker for saving the ...
