Henry's Universe Mode(Season 5): The Bash 2019 Preview

Summer kicks into overdrive in Universe Mode as SmackDown Live hosts The Bash.

The Bash 2019 Card

Bobby Roode vs Samoa Joe

Since becoming Mr. Money in the Bank, Bobby Roode has been sure to let everyone know about his shiny new briefcase. This angered Samoa Joe, who vowed to teach the "Glorious One" a lesson in respect, and has been chasing Roode for weeks. Edge set up a match between the two, but that wasn't enough for Joe, who cornered Roode backstage on the go-home show, forcing Roode to accept an extra stipulation to their match: if Samoa Joe wins, he also wins the Money in the Bank briefcase.

The Balor Club vs The New Day

After months of faction warfare, bad blood spilled over between the Balor Club and New Day, who tore SmackDown's set and backstage area apart in a vicious brawl. With that, Edge realized that the only way to settle the score is in the ring. To ensure that the two stables will move on from each other, the winners of this match will all receive title shots.

Ember Moon(c) vs Sasha Banks- SmackDown Women's Championship Match

Sasha Banks has been tenacious in her pursuit of finally reach the top of SmackDown's women's division, submitting best friend Bayley to enter the ladder match at Money in the Bank but coming up short. Banks then went after the champion, brutalizing Ember Moon with a kendo stick, and when the likes of Asuka and Kairi Sane got involved, Sasha provoked a reluctant Bayley to join her cause. The duo ran roughshod over Asuka and Sane in tag team action, leading Sasha to demand a championship match. Edge didn't seem inclined to give in to the demand, but Ember Moon had the last word, brawling with Sasha and confirming her willingness to fight "The Legit Boss".

The Dream Team(c) vs The War Raiders- SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match

After weeks of destroying local talent, Hanson and Rowe got their biggest win yet, toppling former champions the Bludgeon Brothers in a shockingly one sided affair. The War Raiders were quickly made number one contenders, and Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre are ready for the challenge, eager to prove themselves worthy of their over-sized egos.

Chad Gable(c) vs Matt Hardy- Intercontinental Championship Match

After one match was ruined by Rusev, Matt and Jeff Hardy got another chance to face off two nights after Money in the Bank, this time for an Intercontinental Championship Match. Matt won after Jeff missed a Swanton Bomb to the floor, and with Matt and champion Chad Gable each representing dominant tag teams, it only made sense for a tag match to take place. In an Extreme Rules 2017 rematch, the Hardy Boyz once again defeated American Alpha, with Matt pinning Jason Jordan with a roll-up to gain momentum and confidence heading into this match.

Daniel Bryan vs John Cena- Iron Man Match

Since before WrestleMania III, Daniel Bryan and John Cena have gone back and forth, with their most recent collision costing both men a chance to win the WWE Championship at Money in the Bank. With both men completely different in their ideals and personas, the one thing they both agreed on was that their feud needed to be settled. Bryan suggested a 30 minute Iron Man Match, to prove how had the stamina, endurance and willpower to be worthy of another WWE Championship Match. Despite the match style favoring Bryan, Cena accepted, and promised that defeating Daniel in his own suggested match would finally crush the spirit of the "American Dragon". No matter who gets their arm raised, Edge has promised the winner a title shot at Summerslam. But who will they face at the Biggest Party of the Summer?

Sami Zayn(c) vs Johnny Gargano- WWE Championship Match

It has been a Cinderella story for Johnny Gargano so far in 2019, who had a great run in the Elimination Chamber, beat Seth Rollins clean twice and won a battle royal on SmackDown to become number one contender, last eliminating Rusev. Sami Zayn gave props to Gargano the following week, stating that he was proud of everything Gargano had accomplished, becoming one of the best the blue brand has to offer. But Gargano is out for more than just respect, refusing a handshake from Sami before blasting the WWE Champion with a superkick! In a revealing interview, Gargano spoke at length of all the trials and tribulations he had gone through just to get a chance to sign with Raw, before mentioning his devastation at watching former tag partner and bitter rival Tommaso Ciampa become NXT Champion in New Orleans. While Johnny has always been a good hand capable of putting on great matches, it never made him truly happy. Johnny Gargano has always been destined for more, and at The Bash, "Johnny Wrestling" will become "Johnny Champion".

Henry's Universe Mode #231: WrestleMania II (Part 3)

Finn Balor vs The Undertaker Finn Balor felt the full force of the strikes of The Undertaker in the early going, eating rights and lefts to the skull. The Undertaker continued to lay into Balor, dumping him to the floor with a clothesline, then following up with his vintage suicide dive! After a brief skirmish on the outside, the Deadman got destructive, grabbing the Demon's throat and driving him through the announce table with a chokeslam! It was here that The Undertaker allowed Finn Balor a chance to just give up and concede defeat, but Balor wasn't having any of it. Finn got his second wind, countering an attempted chokeslam to connect with a reverse DDT, then the shotgun dropkick in the corner. Up top, Finn connected with Coup de Grace! 1........................2.......................but it's going to take a lot more to put The Undertaker away, especially at WrestleMania. Balor laid in some shots, busting The Undertaker open, but that proved to be a huge mistake. ...

American Dad "Stompe Le Monde" Review

You know, I once tried to make it in musical theater. If only I had watched this episode beforehand, I would've known I needed a leather jacket to truly make it. Alas, those dreams are for a more pretentious soul than mine. "Stompe Le Monde" is a wild episode of American Dad, one that starts with Stan's previously unknown uncle dying and ends with wanton destruction of many Sonic Drive-Ins. It's a crazy a journey as it sounds, one that left me just struggling to keep up. The family to use the new inheritance to travel to New York City, but Stan quickly blows the money on the rights to Stomp, which is apparently a real musical. The whole town of Langley is very excited to see the new show, but Stan has no idea what he's doing, never once hiring a director or even rehearsing. Why this only came up literally minutes before opening is anyone's guess. The Smith Family is forced to go on the run, and are attacked by many ferocious coyotes off-screen. In ye...

American Dad "The Hand that Rocks the Rogu" Review

American Dad as a show is definitely not afraid to get a little freaky, and nothing is more evident than the existence of Rogu, Roger's tumor that became a character himself in "Persona Assistant". Rogu primarily works as a character because he stays in the background, but this week, he takes a starring role in one of the weirdest American Dad episodes to date. "The Hand that Rocks the Rogu" has little in the way of traditional plot structure, and can only barely be considered an episode at all. It's more a collection of funny and bizarre skits, with a few running plot points that end up forming some sort of resolution. Steve wants to become a babysitter, but Francine says he's not ready, so he needs to prove himself to her. He does that by taking care of Rogu, as Roger is off for a night of NSFW activities. Steve is instructed not to let Rogu have candy or screentime, but violates both rules almost immediately. It turns out that Rogu multiplies w...
