A blown lead costs one team dearly and a couple winning streaks continue in Week 4 of the Dog League. (Reminder: the Dog League is a custom fantasy football league run on NFL.com)
Game 1: Tug of War(126.42) vs Ridiculous Rascals(141.38)
ANALYSIS
Heading into Sunday night, Tug of War was well within reach of their first win of the year, holding a 20 point lead largely thanks to Cooper Kupp(26.9 points). But Dak Prescott(7.62 points) botched his attempt to close off the game, and James Conner(26.5 points) and the Steelers defense(24 points) closed it out on Monday night for Rascal, who moves to 2-2. With their team in a state of chaos now winless through the first 4 games, the situation has already gotten dire for Tug of War, as this year already looks like it could be a lost season unless they make something happen soon.
Game 2: Bark Force(117.5) vs Tailwaggerz(80.9)
ANALYSIS
After being one of the most consistent teams last year, all the way through their championship victory, Tailwaggerz has become of the most inconsistent this year, as two great performances have been offset with two abysmal showings. Despite the best efforts of David Johnson(21.9 points), they were let down by the incredibly awful days of Odell Beckham(4 points) and the Ravens defense(-6 points). And to add salt in the wound, a large amount of both of those struggles were because of Nick Chubb(39.3 points) who's career day powered Bark Force to victory with no one other than backfield mate Todd Gurley(26 points) really bothering to show up. This win catapults Bark Force into second, while Tailwaggerz falls all the way to fifth.
Game 3: Leaping Girl(134.9) vs Rare Woofs(156.3)
ANALYSIS
All hail Rare Woofs, who have been hotter than living hell to start this season, now 4-0 and not looking to slow down anytime soon. As always, they were led by their running backs, as Christian McCaffrey(33.9 points) and Dalvin Cook(19 points) continue to spearhead the league's best team. The trade for Philip Rivers(20.4 points) paid off, especially as Tom Brady(3.7 points) did little on the bench, while Davante Adams(28 points) was electric on Thursday night, though there is heavy concern he will not be able to play next week. Emma, for her part, was led by the odd trio of Austin Ekeler(29.2 points), Austin Hooper(22 points) and the Patriots defense(25 points), though it wasn't enough to save her from her second straight loss. Still, they were both close, high scoring losses, so there's no cause for concern just yet. In fact, with Le'Veon Bell coming back from bye, Melvin Gordon ready to return and Chris Godwin(41.2 points) tearing it up on her bench, she now has the deepest roster in the league and could be prepared to use some of that depth to make a big move.....
