Rascal gets his shot at revenge and Leaping Girl keeps on rolling in Week 6 of the Dog League. (Reminder: the Dog League is a custom fantasy football league run on NFL.com)
Game 1: Tug of War(104.38) vs Tailwaggerz(156.1)
ANALYSIS
Following an impressive win, and their first of the season, over Bark Force, Tug of War were unable to get any momentum going, falling easily to Tailwaggerz and scoring the least points in the league. Derrick Henry(4.3 points), Cooper Kupp(5.7 points) and Greg Zuerlein(1 point) were all stuck on real life teams that struggled to get any offense going, limiting their scoring chances. On the positive end, Chris Godwin(25.1 points) remained excellent, and the team should be getting top pick Saquon Barkley back very soon. The running backs led the way for Tailwaggerz this week, with Chris Carson(25.9 points) and David Johnson(28.2 points) both helping led their teams to close victories. With Tyreek Hill(25 points) returning from injury to reassert himself as Kansas City's top receiver and T.Y. Hilton returning from bye, last year's champions have momentum going once again in what has been an extremely unpredictable campaign thus far.
Game 2: Rare Woofs(124.56) vs Ridiculous Rascals(158.84)
ANALYSIS
Rascal was knocked out by Rare Woofs in last year's playoffs, and embarrassed by them back in Week 1, so this has to be an incredibly sweet win. It was led by new starting quarterback Matt Ryan(30.94 points) and his star running backs Ezekiel Elliott(26.2 points) and James Conner(30.9 points), but did come with a price, as Conner exited late due to injury. Rare Woofs were hit much harder by injury, with Davante Adams out once more and Amari Cooper(1.3 points) going down in the first half. The teams top scorers were on the bench, as Alshon Jeffery(23.6 points) and Hunter Henry(30 points) both had great performances go to waste. This defeat marks the end of Rare Woofs' five game winning streak, though they will remain in first place as they had a two game cushion. Rascal leapfrogs fellow 3-3 team Tailwaggerz into third place, as he beat them by 45 points back in Week 2.
Game 3: Bark Force(138.22) vs Leaping Girl(155.5)
ANALYSIS
Emma called upon Russell Wilson(28.9 points) and Austin Hooper(25.7 points) to start this week and they delivered big, buoyed on by another spectacular game from the Patriots defense(32 points). This win moves Leaping Girl just one game behind Rare Woofs, though they do own the tiebreaker so she's still a little ways off from retaking the top spot. She has to have some major concerns over the continued struggles of Keenan Allen(5.3 points), who put together another lackluster performance after she gave up the likes of Melvin Gordon and Chris Godwin to acquire him. For Bark Force, it was another great day for Nick Chubb(28.9 points), but they'll have to make do without him for next week as he goes on bye. Terry McLaurin(26 points) had a great spot start, but they have to be concerned after Patrick Mahomes(18.82 points) failed to crack the 20 point barrier for the third week in a row, which was nearly automatic for him last year. The real bust of the week was Aaron Jones(8 points) who lost a fumble and dropped a touchdown, both mistakes costing the team dearly this week. Bark Force does have Devonta Freeman(26.8 points) on the bench plus the possibility of a Todd Gurley return in the near future, which combined with the second best waiver priority will give them a chance to find a new starter to replace Jones.
