The D's out for Harambe, you guys.
The last episode that carried a similar title was "Butt Out" in Season 7, one of the worst episodes in South Park history. This one was certainly much better than that, delivering on quite a few fantastic jokes and continuing a great season.
These past few years have really been a revitalization of the show, and that continued with this episode. Following on the ongoing war between the boys and girls of South Park Elementary, we see that Butters, of all people, has started a counter-movement. PC Principal's "PC Pretzel" line was one of the best of the season so far, and it's pretty amazing to see how much political power Butters seems to have. Once again, a minor character gets elevated to main status, continuing the trend from last season, which is always fun. Clearly the tension is reaching a breaking point, and at this point, both sides have probably moved past anything to do with Skankhunt42.
Speaking of Skank, Gerald is in a very tough predicament. His identity has been found out by Dick, a fellow troll(great name by the way, considering the episode), forcing Gerald to contemplate his life beyond trolling. With the Danish cracking down, it's clear that Gerald is running out of options, with a circle of fellow trolls perhaps acting as his last hope.
Cartman's adjustment in a new, happier, more well adjusted character was a fantastic choice, as his lines in this episode were incredible. Watching his interaction with Kyle is hilarious, and I do hope that this version of his character is going to be around for awhile. One has to wonder what the endgame is for all of these storylines, in addition to the ongoing situation with the "member berries". This is all leading to one big reveal, though when it happens and who it is is anyone's guess.
7/10
I really struggled to write a lot for this episode, and I think that's the biggest problem that holds it back. It's a very hilarious episode, and continues the plot in a very intriguing way, but it didn't really feel like anything hugely important happened. Maybe that will change with next week's episode.
