Henry's Universe Mode #155: Raw

Tonight, in an effort to crown a new number one contender, Becky Lynch meets Paige in our main event. But that's not all, as Shane McMahon was approached by none other than Sasha Banks earlier in the day. The Legit Boss made a good case for another shot at Asuka, and Shane decided to add her to the match. Mark Henry takes on Alberto Del Rio, American Alpha in non-title action, and the Universal Championship match for Raw's next pay-per-view, Extreme Rules, is booked.

Shane McMahon Promo

Shane O'Mac opened this episode of Raw in the Big Apple, and wasted no time getting down to business. He announced that Raw's next pay-per-view, Extreme Rules, will take place live on June 4th, and the winner of tonight's main event will challenge Asuka on that night. Shane then booked another championship match, as Samoa Joe will face Seth Rollins once more, this time inside a steel cage. The Universal Champion made his way to the ring, confronting Shane. Joe was not at all pleased, but the worst was yet to come, as Shane announced that Joe would face Rusev, right after the commercial break.

Samoa Joe vs Rusev

This was not some educated, hold for hold, catch as catch can wrestling match, but more a fight between two beasts. The Bulgarian Brute had talked a lot of trash since defeating Shinsuke Nakamura at Payback, and tonight he did his best to walk the walk. Both of these men beat the hell out of each other, and there was some genuine concern that someone was going to get seriously injured. In the end, Samoa Joe was just that little bit better, and put Rusev away after a ridiculous combo of suplexes.

Winner: Samoa Joe

#DIY vs American Alpha

As the champions made their way to the ring, Shane announced their title defense. It will be against the Hardy Boyz, who returned last week, at Extreme Rules, in a tag team Extreme Rules match. This announcement hung over this match, as Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa looked to upset the odds once again. It was the champions, not well liked by this crowd, who were in control for much of the match. In a rare fashion, a miscommunication between Gable and Jordan gave Ciampa an opportunity that he took full advantage of, delivering Project Ciampa to put #DIY back in the title hunt.

Winners: #DIY

Mark Henry vs Alberto Del Rio

There was some backstage chatter on the future of Alberto Del Rio, as the Mexican Aristocrat's job seemed to be hanging in the balance. If it was, this match did little to quell those rumors, as Mark Henry returned to action with an easy win, finishing Del Rio off with a big splash.

After the match, the action really picked up, as Braun Strowman confronted Henry in the ring. Although the World's Strongest Man did his best to fend Strowman off, the Monster Among Men stood tall after delivering a big powerslam.

Winner: Mark Henry

Becky Lynch vs Paige vs Sasha Banks- #1 Contender's Match for the Raw Women's Championship

From the start, this was a chaotic match, as all three women wanted desperately to be next in line for a championship match. Sasha Banks, after a month on hiatus, looked very, very good, as she took both Becky and Paige. An uneasy alliance was formed to put a stop to the Legit Boss, but you knew that wouldn't last long. It was Lynch who struck first, unleashing on Paige with a steel chair, much to the delight of the crowd. Banks then took back control using a kendo stick, and looked to be on the verge of victory, as she locked in the Bank Statement on the Irish Lass-Kicker. Paige, ever the opportunist, took out Sasha, then delivered a RamPaige to Becky, who was still recovering, and stole her way to another championship match.

Winner: Paige

South Park "Not Funny" Review

Good night, amateur trolls that trolled a troll and trolled themselves into a troll, brothers. With one episode to go in the season, South Park has remained consistently funny and on-point with their humor, though I worry about how their going to wrap all of this up. There are a good six to seven ongoing storylines right now, and only one episode to finish off a few of them. There was no clear focus this week, but I'll start where the episode ended, with Gerald's troll-based storyline. It's pretty satisfying to see the Troll Hunter's massive revelation; that he is, in fact, just another troll, bent on world destruction. Even Gerald couldn't find the humor in his master plan, as the Troll Hunter is truly in a league of his own. With the world on the brink of war, the trolling has truly begun, as the Troll Hunter went to work on his own employees and the other trolls, though why they had to be naked for that is beyond me. Kyle is always a sucker for saving the ...
