Wyatt Family(c) vs Enzo and Big Cass- SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match
Enzo and Cass have not held tag team gold since their days back in NXT, and they looked motivated to end that dry spell here tonight. They focused on the leader, Bray, as they worked him down for much of the match. It was the Wyatts willingness to bend the rules that was the difference, as Rowan distracted the official during a pinfall, allowing Bray to connect with Sister Abigail for the win.
Winners and still SmackDown Tag Team Champions: The Wyatt Family
Alexa Bliss vs Nia Jax- No Holds Barred
The Wicked Witch of SmackDown Live showed her violent side here tonight, as Alexa and Nia put on a brutal affair. Bliss connected on two vicious snap DDTs, one outside of the ring, on the concrete floor, but Jax fought on. Alexa even executed a con-chair-to, a deadly maneuver, but still she couldn't put the Female Destroyer away. Nia Jax was just on another level on this night, and delivered two devastating leg drops to pick up the win.
Winner: Nia Jax
Cesaro and Roman Reigns vs Gallows and Anderson
After SmackDown Live earlier this week, Daniel Bryan added the stipulation to this match that should Gallows and Anderson lose, they would be barred from ringside for the main event. With such high stakes, you could Gallows and Anderson were more focused than ever before. They showed everyone why they are such a great tag team, as they worked down both Cesaro and Roman Reigns. The two singles competitors seemed to be completely out of their element, but the unmatched power of the Swiss Superman gave them an advantage. The King of Swing just decimated the Machine Gune with big move after big move, and set him up for a devastating Cesaro Swing/dropkick combo that laid the match to rest.
Winners: Cesaro and Roman Reigns
Charlotte(c) vs Nikki Bella- SmackDown Women's Championship Match
This was a straight up one on one match between two of the most talented, egotistical competitors on the blue brand. The challenger had the experience edge, and for once, we saw Charlotte commit some mistakes throughout the mistake. This almost cost her big, as she just kicked out of the Rack Attack for a narrow near fall. She ironed out her game and erased the mistakes, and rallied to put Nikki away with a Natural Selection.
Afterward, the Queen decided to send a message to her subjects. She smashed a dazed Nikki Bella over the head with her women's championship, busting her wide open, before posing to a very hostile crowd.
Winner and still SmackDown Women's Champion: Charlotte
Randy Orton(c) vs Sami Zayn- Intercontinental Championship Match
Sami Zayn was firing on all cylinders right out of the gate, as he understood the importance of keeping the champion off his game. He drove the pace and took Orton off guard, even connecting on a Blue Thunder Bomb. It was here Zayn made his big mistake, as he looked to deliver more punishment instead of going for the pin. Although it was still a competitive match, this mistake doomed Sami, and he eventually fell prey to a RKO.
Winner and still Intercontinental Champion: Randy Orton
AJ Styles(c) vs Brock Lesnar- WWE Championship Match
The Phenomenal One might not have had Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson in his corner, but the Beast didn't mind bringing along a little backup, as he was joined by the returning Paul Heyman. From the moment the bell rang, you knew this was going to be a war. Both competitors were at their absolute best, AJ taking to the air to deliver incredible high-flying moves, Lesnar taking the champion to Suplex City time and time again. Both men threw their best shots, and both men survived, Styles kicking out on a F-5 and Lesnar just getting the shoulder up following a Styles Clash. It was at this point that the presence of Heyman turned the tide, as Brock re-took control. A second F-5 connected, and it was all over. Or maybe it wasn't, because AJ Styles, with the heart of a champion, kicked just before 3. A stunned Lesnar had nothing left in his arsenal, but the WWE Champion had a second Styles Clash, and it was over. A stunning upset saw AJ Styles retain his championship, in perhaps the most unlikely scenario yet.
Winner and still WWE Champion: AJ Styles
