Henry's Universe Mode(Season 5) NXT Takeover: Blackpool Preview

NXT's next Takeover heads across the pond as the seaside resort of Blackpool hosts an exciting night of wrestling.

NXT Takeover: Blackpool Card

Moustache Mountain(c) vs Grizzled Young Veterans- NXT Tag Team Championship Match

Takeover: Blackpool opens with a bang, as two of the best British teams in the world collide for the tag team titles. The pairing of James Drake and Zach Gibson has proven to be dynamic thus far, with the two quickly working their into title contention. Does this arrogant, talent young stars have what it takes to unseat Trent Seven and Tyler Bate?

Drew Gulak vs Matt Riddle

After coming up short in his pursuit of the NXT Championship, Matt Riddle has go on a path to prove himself, hosting open challenges each week. His last open challenge two weeks ago was answered by former Cruiserweight Champion Drew Gulak, who chose not to wrestle Riddle, instead attacking the "Original Bro" with a lead pipe before forcing Riddle to pass out to the Gu-Lock. An incensed Riddle immediately demanded a match, a request Triple H granted.

Io Shirai(c) vs Dakota Kai- NXT Women's Championship Match

With Toni Storm now on Raw, Io Shirai needed a new challenger, and a mini-tournament was announced by Triple H to crown one. In the end, Dakota Kai would out-last Mia Yim and upset Bianca Belair to earn a championship match. The leader of "Team Kick" has made it clear she is not scared of the dominant champion, even shoving down Io Shirai in a face to face meeting just four nights ago.

Cedric Alexander(c) vs Gentleman Jack Gallagher- Cruiserweight Championship Match

Gentleman Jack Gallagher has come out of nowhere recently, dropping his more sillier antics and becoming a no nonsense grappler. Gallagher was determined to get a title shot in his home country, and he did just that, picking up a massive win over KUSHIDA to become number one contender. Some controversy would be stirred up, as during a match the next week against Roderick Strong with Cedric Alexander watching on, Gallagher instigated a fight with the Cruiserweight Champion. This allowed Strong to pin Gallagher, but Triple H made it clear that Gallagher will wrestle for the title in a singles match and Strong has not done enough to earn a title match.

Tommaso Ciampa(c) vs WALTER- NXT Championship Match

Since debuting and defeating Lars Sullivan in New Orleans, "Der Ring General" has decimated everyone in his path, even defeating former NXT Champion Apollo Crews in a squash. It was clear WALTER should be the first challenger for Tommaso Ciampa, and Triple H declared as such, making this main event. But the "Psycho Killer" fears no man big or small, and got the jump on his challenger two weeks ago, attacking WALTER in the parking lot. Ciampa was able to bust WALTER open with a steel chair, but couldn't take the big man out and was forced to run away. On the go-home show, WALTER took to the mic to make it clear that no matter what Tommaso Ciampa tries, a new champion will be crowned in Blackpool.

American Dad "Twinanigans" Review

It's been a while since the last Steve and Roger episode, and this week reminded me why that's such a classic American Dad pairing. This is a genuinely fun episode, filled with some great one liners and even a great callback to the show's past. "Twinanigans" centers around the heretofore unmentioned acting careers of Roger and Steve, who twinned it up as the Smith Brothers. I'm not going to question whether this backstory actually makes sense to the overall timeline; no one watches American Dad for continuity. Steve had to give up acting to attend kindergarten, and wants to give Roger a second chance at greatness. The two head to auditions, where Steve impresses and Roger blows it. It's here the episode kinda misfires, as it's never made abundantly clear why Roger struggles so much at acting. Is he just trying too hard, does he have some form of stage fright, does he not even know what acting is? This part of the story is just never explained, w...

Henry's Pay-Per-View Reviews: ECW Heatwave 1998

As the world collectively loses it's mind over the coronavirus(this could be a fun intro to look back on in the future), the only sanity that can be found is in the ring. Let's take a look today at what is often considered ECW's finest outing, Heatwave '98. - Jokes aside, everyone should stay safe out there. I know it's easy to panic about these mass outbreaks, and I've certainly felt very nervous about everything I've heard and read over the past week. But I think we all need some fun in our lives right now, and this show is the epitome of distraction. - The opening contest is one of the highlights of the night, as Jerry Lynn takes on Justin Credible. Credible has an entire entourage in his corner, including Chastity, Jason and Nicole Bass, and their involvement in this match at times bordered on excessive. But the match begins to hit it's peak when Lynn puts Credible through a table with a hurricanrana, and it's all fantastic from...

Curious Crab

One Monday night my mom looked into my crabitat and found that a crab had climbed into one of my fake trees. It was in the top branch. I looked in later, and found that the crab had fallen out of the tree. I hope he is okay. What a day!
