Henry's Universe Mode(Season 5): Backlash 2019 Preview

With WrestleMania III in the back mirror, Season 5 of Henry's Universe Mode officially kicks off with Raw's Backlash, which will take place on April 21st, 2019. Let's take a look at the card.

Backlash 2019 Card

Adam Cole(c) vs Ricochet- United States Championship Match

After defeating Pete Dunne, new champion Adam Cole tossed the United Kingdom Championship aside, before bringing back the United States Championship. His first challenger would be recent Raw draft pick Ricochet, as "The One and Only" was able to defeat Baron Corbin to become number one contender.

The Bar(c) vs The Revival- Raw Tag Team Championship Match

Cesaro and Sheamus did what many thought was impossible at WrestleMania III, using their tag team expertise to defeat the Authors of Pain. But with Akam and Rezar nowhere to be found, The Revival have stepped up to be the first to challenge the new champions. Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder negotiated their way into a title match by boasting about their win of The Bar at Summerslam last year, and eventually they got their match.

Charlotte Flair vs Ruby Riott

For the first time in Universe Mode, "The Queen" is on Monday Nights, and she has immediately become a target of the Riott Squad. Ruby is eager to finally get a big win, and after weeks of 3 on 1 beatdowns, Goldberg made the match official.

Jon Moxley vs Roman Reigns- Street Fight

One of the biggest highlights of WrestleMania III was the return of Dean Ambrose, who cost Roman Reigns the World Heavyweight Championship. We wouldn't have to wait long for answers, as Ambrose would speak just one night later on Raw. In an emotional promo, Ambrose put words to the rage and grief he felt during his self-imposed exile, and blamed Roman Reigns for his failed coup against Seth Rollins that broke up the Shield. Ambrose believes he's world championship material, but he would need to access his darker, more broken personality to do so. On that night, Dean Ambrose transformed into Jon Moxley, the sadistic freak who left blood and carnage across the independent scene. Roman Reigns would return on the go-home episode of Raw, and the two men engaged in a wild backstage brawl that required referees, road agents and other wrestlers to break up, and a few days later, it was confirmed that Reigns and Moxley would face off in a Street Fight.

AJ Styles vs Randy Orton

Raw's biggest pick of the 2019 WWE Draft was none other than the "Phenomenal One", AJ Styles, who quickly made a big statement, claiming to be the most successful competitor in all of Universe Mode in his first promo. But he was interrupted by an RKO from Randy Orton, as "The Viper" was eager to prove Styles wrong. Both of these men are former WWE and Intercontinental Champions, and will face off at Backlash in what many consider a dream match.

Becky Lynch(c) vs Nia Jax- Raw Women's Championship Match

"The Force of Greatness" Nia Jax made her return to Raw in a big way, attacking champion Becky Lynch during a promo. Lynch was completely unfazed by the attack, and called out Jax to face her in the ring the very next week. "The Man" would strike first this time, trapping Jax in the Dis-arm-her, and Nia just barely got out of the hold using her power and retreated. After Nia defeated Alexa Bliss, she would be officially declared the number one contender as Lynch watched on.

Shinsuke Nakamura(c) vs Aleister Black- Universal Championship Match

After defeating The Undertaker at WrestleMania III, Aleister Black was named number one contender while "The Deadman" was drafted to SmackDown. This meant that for a third time, Black and Nakamura will face off, with Shinsuke having won both previous matches. Black is determined to finally defeat "The King of Strong Style" and win back the championship that he only lost via cash-in to Seth Rollins last year. But can "The Dutch Destroyer" finally defeat his fellow dominant striker, or will Shinsuke Nakamura's reign atop Raw continue?

Henry's Universe Mode #231: WrestleMania II (Part 3)

Finn Balor vs The Undertaker Finn Balor felt the full force of the strikes of The Undertaker in the early going, eating rights and lefts to the skull. The Undertaker continued to lay into Balor, dumping him to the floor with a clothesline, then following up with his vintage suicide dive! After a brief skirmish on the outside, the Deadman got destructive, grabbing the Demon's throat and driving him through the announce table with a chokeslam! It was here that The Undertaker allowed Finn Balor a chance to just give up and concede defeat, but Balor wasn't having any of it. Finn got his second wind, countering an attempted chokeslam to connect with a reverse DDT, then the shotgun dropkick in the corner. Up top, Finn connected with Coup de Grace! 1........................2.......................but it's going to take a lot more to put The Undertaker away, especially at WrestleMania. Balor laid in some shots, busting The Undertaker open, but that proved to be a huge mistake. ...

American Dad "Stompe Le Monde" Review

You know, I once tried to make it in musical theater. If only I had watched this episode beforehand, I would've known I needed a leather jacket to truly make it. Alas, those dreams are for a more pretentious soul than mine. "Stompe Le Monde" is a wild episode of American Dad, one that starts with Stan's previously unknown uncle dying and ends with wanton destruction of many Sonic Drive-Ins. It's a crazy a journey as it sounds, one that left me just struggling to keep up. The family to use the new inheritance to travel to New York City, but Stan quickly blows the money on the rights to Stomp, which is apparently a real musical. The whole town of Langley is very excited to see the new show, but Stan has no idea what he's doing, never once hiring a director or even rehearsing. Why this only came up literally minutes before opening is anyone's guess. The Smith Family is forced to go on the run, and are attacked by many ferocious coyotes off-screen. In ye...

American Dad "The Hand that Rocks the Rogu" Review

American Dad as a show is definitely not afraid to get a little freaky, and nothing is more evident than the existence of Rogu, Roger's tumor that became a character himself in "Persona Assistant". Rogu primarily works as a character because he stays in the background, but this week, he takes a starring role in one of the weirdest American Dad episodes to date. "The Hand that Rocks the Rogu" has little in the way of traditional plot structure, and can only barely be considered an episode at all. It's more a collection of funny and bizarre skits, with a few running plot points that end up forming some sort of resolution. Steve wants to become a babysitter, but Francine says he's not ready, so he needs to prove himself to her. He does that by taking care of Rogu, as Roger is off for a night of NSFW activities. Steve is instructed not to let Rogu have candy or screentime, but violates both rules almost immediately. It turns out that Rogu multiplies w...
