Paul Heyman Issues His Response
The Raw General Manager opened the show, and made it short and to the point. He was willing to accept the Shield's added stipulation, and should Seth Rollins win the World Heavyweight Title, he will resign from his position. However, he has one condition; only Heyman will be allowed at ringside for the championship match. Should Ambrose or Reigns even attempt to come down to the ring, Rollins will be disqualified.
Eva Marie vs Trish Stratus
This was the first match on the Raw brand for All Red Everything, and Eva was in for a tough start, as she took on the Women's Champion. Both women impressed each other with their tenacity, each kicking out of signature maneuvers. Eva got the upper hand with a crafty eye poke, and seemed to be closing in on a big upset. Trish dodged the Sliced Red #2, though, and connected with a Stratusfaction to gain momentum heading into her rematch with Chyna at Unforgiven.
Winner: Trish Stratus
Golden Truth vs The Outsiders
The new team of Goldust and R-Truth looked confident that they could stop the roll The Outsiders have been on, but confidence can be misleading. The most you could say for the Golden Truth is that they lasted longer than the Dudley Boyz last week, and did get some offense in. A Jackknife Powerbomb on Goldust brought a sudden end to the contest, as The Outsiders continue to run rampant on Raw.
Winners: The Outsiders
Kurt Angle vs Colin Cassady
Big Cass had his tag team partner Enzo Amore standing by at ringside, taking on an obviously angry Kurt Angle. Cass used his power, but Angle was all over the big man, giving him little time to breath. Angle was motivated by the events of last week, and took Cass apart. Cass showed his resiliency by kicking out of the Angle Slam, but this only served to make the Olympian angrier, and an incredibly painful heel hook earned Kurt the victory.
After the match, as Angle celebrated, he picked up a mic, proceeding to call out his rival and former tag partner, Rusev. The Bulgarian Brute got into the ring, staring down Angle. Kurt wanted to prove he is and always will be better than Rusev, and to do that, the two needed to face off in a rematch at Unforgiven. However, this will not be a normal match. Instead, to prove his superiority, Angle wants Rusev in a barbaric submission match. Rusev nodded his consent, before blindsiding him with a big kick and locking in the Accolade. Officials escorted the Bulgarian Brute out of the ring, with Angle barely stirring in the ring. It should be quite the collision at Unforgiven.
Winner: Kurt Angle
The Shield vs Brock Lesnar and CM Punk
Neither team came alone for this main event collision, with Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman patrolling at ringside. The presence of Rollins at ringside served as a constant distraction to Lesnar, who was more focused on his number one contender than the match. It didn't take long for chaos to ensue, with almost everyone getting involved. Lesnar dominated Ambrose, and appeared to have him out with a F-5, but Rollins saved his Shield partner. Enraged, Lesnar got into Rollins' face and paid for it, taking a Spear from Reigns through the barricade. With Lesnar and Ambrose both out, it came down to Punk and Reigns, going back and forth in the ring. Punk used underhanded tactics to great success, and appeared to be about to pick up the victory when John Cena's music played. Punk demanded the ref make sure Cena didn't interfere, but with the official distracted, Cena took out the IC Champion with a big AA. Rollins then took out Heyman to the delight of the crowd, Ambrose held off Lesnar, and Reigns connected with a second Spear on Punk to pick up the victory. The Hounds of Justice went old-school, capitalizing on chaos to close Raw standing tall in the middle of the ring.
Winners: The Shield
